- Police Inspector Saeed Rehman (Aloknath) is an honest police officer in the city's police force. As he continued to work without accepting any bribes, he became a liability to some of his colleagues, including Inspector N.A. Pradhan (Shafi Inamdar), who frames him for a crime Saeed did not commit and gets him dismissed from the police force. Saeed vows to avenge this humiliation, and enlists the help of Rakesh (Akshay Anand), who in turn enlists the aid of his beloved, Amita (Chandni). During the course of trying to expose Inspector Pradhan, they come across the real kingpin behind Pradhan, names the notorious Raunakbhai (Paresh Rawal). And nothing comes in the way of Raunakbhai, as Saeed, Rakesh, and Amita will soon find out, as he has incriminating evidence against the Chief Minister of the State, as well as other dignitaries.
- Dr Sunil Gupta, a gynecologist and Dr. Hira are partners in Prakash Nursing Home. Sunil treats his profession as an earning job unlike his father, who landed up in debt because of treating free the poor patients. Sunils' girlfriend Yashoda too is a doctor working in a government hospital treating the profession as a service. A patient being treated by Dr Hira dies due to his negligence but he saves his skin by firing the nurse. While operating on a minister's pregnant daughter-in-law, Manjula, Sunil is faced with a choice of saving either the mother or child. He opts for the former. The minister, Raosaheb, holds Sunil responsible for the child's death and lodges a complaint with the medical council. Dr Hira too sides with him against Sunil, getting him suspended. Sunil, in the meanwhile, comes to know about the truth of Hira's patient's death from the absconding nurse. Armed with the evidence he files a case in the court and wins. Chastened Sunil decides to follow in his father's footsteps.
- A married couple had prayed for years for a child to be born to them, in vain. Then one day, the wife prays to Lord Naagraj (Snake God), who appears before her and grants her wish. Soon a boy is born in their household, and named Nagesh. 24 years later, Nagesh has grown up, and is now a Police Inspector. A woman who calls herself Rajni appears, meets with his mother, and tells her that she is Nagesh's (alias Rajnikant) betrothed from a previous birth, she is the daughter of Naagraj, who had told her that she can claim him as her husband after 25 years. Fearing for the safety of Nagesh, his mother gets him married to a pious woman, Neelam, the daughter of a Poojary. The stage is now set for a confrontation between the pious wife against the shape-changing Rajni, who will not permit a mere mortal to stop her. Then things change dramatically when Nagesh is photographed having an affair with a woman named Julie, who is subsequently killed, the police find evidence linking Nagesh to this murder, he is dismissed from the employment of the Police Force, held in a cell, found guilty by the court, and sentenced to be hanged. Watch what happens when both Neelam and Rajni come to know about the Court's decision, and what steps each will take to claim Nagesh as her own.
- After discovery of skeletal remains at an excavation site, a woman known to be deceased for over 2 centuries mysteriously re-surfaces to claim her lover.
- Maharaj Chatrapal Singh and his wife the Maharani are delighted when they become proud parents of a son - the heir to the thrown of Ramgad. Their delight is short-lived when the Palace Astrologer predicts that Chatrapal will be the last of the Maharajas for Ramgad, and no throne is destined for his son, Raju. Perturbed at this news, Chatrapal decides to protect Raju from the world, and makes him lead a secluded life within the four walls of the palace and it's surrounding grounds. Years later, Raju has grown up and his has arranged his marriage with a young woman of noble parentage. Raju is unhappy with this decision, and decides to run away with his bodyguard, Gulshan. They end up in Bombay city, where Raju starts to work as a waiter in a restaurant. He meets with and falls in love with a dancer and singer, Anita Sethi, who is the daughter of a wealthy man. Her father would like her to marry Jimmy Narang, son of the wealthy Mr. Narang, but Anita too falls in love with Raju. When JImmy finds out that Raju is a heir-apparent to Ramgad's throne, he tells Anita, who is angry with Raju for suppressing this information from her. Narang also informs Chatrapal, who sets off with an army, to bring Raju back to marry the woman he has chosen for him. Raju now has to make a choice - stay and be captured by his father's men; or run away elsewhere.
- Widowed Judge Kedarnath Sinha lives a comfortable life with two sons, CBI Inspector Vijay and college student Sonu. Vijay is aware of the terrible tragedy that marked his 5th-birthday celebration: the party was interrupted by vengeful escaped convict Billa, who killed DCP Ravi Khanna, cut off Kedarnath's right hand, and abducted and brutally assaulted and raped Sharda Khanna. Sonu doesn't come to know about this until well after his 25th birthday, when Kedarnath tells him that he is Sharda's and Billa's son. Shocked and devastated, Sonu accepts this reality and leaves the Sinha household. Shortly thereafter, he is wanted by the Police for helping dreaded killer Kaalia escape from prison. What Kedarnath and Vijay do not know is that Sonu helped Kaalia in order to reach Billa, but instead meets with Dagha, becomes his hit-man, and accepts a contract to kill Dagha's former associate Shakaal and retrieve a videotape titled "Marte Dam Tak". What is recorded in that video-tape is not that film, but something that will change Sonu's life forever and make him an enemy of the law, with Vijay hot on his trail.

She is subsequently arrested and held in a prison cell and tortured. Her mother's attempts to locate her are in vain. She then attempts to find a lawyer, but no one is willing to take on this case. Then a out of work lawyer, Avinash Kapoor, undertakes to defend Roshni. He meets with her in prison, gets to know her, and listens to her side of the story. Confident that he will secure her release, Roshni testifies in Court. it is here that Avinash will show his true colors, discredits her evidence, and will have her confined in a mental institute. Watch what impact these turn of events will have on Roshni, and her mother.
- Circumstances force an innocent Deepa into the life of a hardened criminal. When a gang of spoiled rich young men Sukhdev cooks up a robbery and Deepa is locked up and sentenced to a remand home for six months. When she is out of the jail she is totally changed person. - Laxmi (Moushumi Chatterjee) was a heart-breaker during her college days, and one of her jilted suitors was Dinesh Khanna (Danny Denzongpa), who never quite got over her rejecting him. Laxmi married singer Vijay Kumar(Jeetendra) and has a son, Raja (Master Bunty). Vijay unexpectedly returns home gets into a scuffle with Dinesh and dies, while Tom D'Costa (Vinod Mehra) his secretary is crippled. Raja grows up pretty much without both parents; becomes a successful entertainer. Meeting Renu (Shilpa Shirodkar)leads to mutual love . Laxmi approves the relationship. When Laxmi comes to know that Renu is Dinesh's daughter she forbids her son Raja from having anything to do with Renu. Dinesh forbids Renu from meeting Raju when he finds out that Raja is Laxmi's son. He wants her to marry a man of his choice. An angry Tom confronts Dinesh, setting of a train of events when the principals are forced to confront the truth of events leading up to the death of Vijay.

When Sumer approaches him, he denies being or ever knowing anyone by the name of Girdharilal. Sumer then decides to expose him, little knowing that he is putting his life, as well as the lives of his mom and sister in danger.

His Junior, Ashok, promises to avenge their killings and sets about to locate their killers. He finds out that all of them work for Vidhya Sagar, and he goes about killing them one by one. Then the DIG of Police, Jagdish Chaudhary, assigns Police Inspector Vijayalaxmi to apprehend Ashok, not knowing that Vijaya and Ashok are in love with each other. She questions Ashok, but he provides her an alibi for each and every occurrence. But when the Mayor of Bangalore is killed, she catches Ashok red-handed, leaving open the question whether Ashok will be ready to provide an alibi for this death or merely claim that he did not do it. The question remains, if Ashok did not kill the Mayor, then who did?

Ajay operates a publicatin called Karmayogi, in which he publishes news and information about crime and criminals, and does an expose on Keshavlal. Mohan and Shanker want a bigger stake in the share, which Keshav agrees to, but arranges for Shanker to get killed, and blames it on Ajay. When Shanker is killed, Mohan swears to avenge his father's death and begins the trek of locating and killing Ajay.

Kapil Khanna's wife delivered a baby boy in the hospital of D'Costa, so did Dalpat Dalal's wife to a baby girl. D'Costa returned Dalpat's favour by interchanging the two on Dalpat's insistence. Kapil Khanna was enraged at this and he took to a legal battle against the hospital authorities. The court gave the custody of the little girl to Nathulal's wife Banto who worked as a casual labourer in the hospital. Banto named the little girl Lakshmi and groomed her to become an ace pickpocket in time to come.
- Amar lives a poor lifestyle with his widowed mom in India, he is unemployed, does not make enough effort to find a job, and spends most of his time with his sweetheart, Rinku Dayal. When his mom finds out that he has been writing love letters, she asks him to introduce his girlfriend, which he does. She approves of Rinku and would like both of them to get married, she also warns Rinku that Amar is fated to die under water and must keep away from all lakes, rivers, and swimming pools at all costs, as he cannot swim. Then a few days later, Amar accidentally falls down in a river, is swept through a waterfall and is believed to be dead. His shocked and devastated mom loses her sanity, and keeps on hoping that Amar will return one day. Then six months later, Amar does return home to his overjoyed mom, and is anxious to go to Rinku and tell her the good news. It is then his mom informs him that Rinku has married Ajit Verma, her dad's boss, shortly after she found out that Amar had drowned. A shocked Amar must now find out why his sweetheart chose to marry a wealthy man, and it is here he will find out that his falling in the river was not an accident but he was the victim of a conspiracy against him.
- Thakur Chandrabhan lives a wealthy lifestyle in a small village in India. He is widowed and lives with his sister; a widowed daughter-in-law, Saraswati; and a grand-daughter, Tara, who is of marriageable age. Also living in this household is Bholanath, who is blind since birth, and helps with household chores. Blind Bhola is unable to pursue him, but is instead bitten by the snake, regains his vision and sets forth to Bombay to locate Pratap. Several weeks later, Bholanath returns home, just in time to be told that he must marry Tara, as she refuses to marry anyone else. Tara notices something very odd about Bholanath as he calls her "Tara', not as "Little Mistress" as he used to; he is terrified of snakes; and seems more cultured and educated. The family decides to get the two engaged, however, the ceremony is interrupted by the arrival of the police, who have an arrest warrant for Bholanath for Theft, and Murder of a young woman named Lucy. The question remains, what was Bholanath up to in Bombay, whose money did he steal, and why did he end up killing Lucy?

Neema sells her jewelry to support her brother's education, without any return on her investment. She and Abhinandan live a life of genteel poverty on the charity of another brother. Divorce court judgment leaves Arun dissatisfied and resentful and he does not meet his son for years. Meanwhile, Neema feeling wronged and cheated by Arun thinks he has remarried and has a new child. The thread of the story begins to unravel when Abhinandan comes to Bombay for higher education. Does Abhinandan hate his father? Does he ride his Rajdoot-Bobby motorcycle from Bombay to Nasik? What happens when Neema and Arun come face to face, after many years in common grief, worry and concern for the well being of a loved one is to be watched.
- The Saxena's family consists of Chief Engineer Vinay Saxena, his wife, a daughter, Pooja and his younger brother, Shankar. Shankar is a CBI officer a fact that is known to his family members only recently; meanwhile Vinay is approached by a corrupt builder, Shaadilal who attempts to bribe him to pass an illegal tender. But Vinay refuses to accept the bribe forcing Shaadilal to adopt other means of getting the job done. Meanwhile Vinay hopes to get his daughter marry to his personal assistant, Deepak Malhotra. Ironically Vinay is once again approached by Shaadilal who confides to him that Deepak is behind the crime of arranging the passing of the illegal tenders. Unfortunately both Deepak and Vinay gets fired from their job. The same night Shankar red-handily catches Deepak committing a murder, arrests him and logged him in a cell; then Shankar goes home to hear that his niece, Pooja is pregnant with Deepak's child only to arrange the marriage of Pooja and Deepak. In the midst of the wedding Shankar is forced to arrest his brother, Vinay; unable to bear this Deepak decides to go about a quest that will provide evidences to prove Vinay's innocence only to be killed. Shankar then suspects foul play and decides to conduct investigations that will bring the real culprits to justice.
- Ravidas (Sunny Deol) lives in a village in rural India. He is the son of Chediram (Dr. Shreeram Lagoo) who is of highly respected in the village. Ravidas falls in love with Jyoti (Poonam Dhillon). Their love becomes known in the village. Because of differences of caste, the villagers are opposed to Ravidas marrying Jyoti. Chediram commits suicide due to the shame his son has brought upon him. Ravidas is a gifted poet, but he cannot fulfill his dream of being recognized as a great poet, his poems being published and shown to the world, because he lives in a village. So he decides to go to the city to fulfill his dreams and to eventually marry Jyoti. In the city he recovers the purse of a young lady from a thief. The young lady turns out to be the daughter of a big newspaper publisher. The newspaper publisher hears of Ravidas's talent for poetry through his daughter. He publishes some of Ravidas's poems in a column in his newspaper. Ravidas starts becoming famous and his dream is fulfilled. He communicates to Jyoti by writing on the side of the morning express train, hence the title of the film Saveray Wali Gaadi. Jyoti reads these message each morning hoping for the time when Ravidas will return and take her away with him.
- Young Vishnu and his younger brother live with their hardworking dad, a farmer, and mom a devoted housewife. Their lives are shattered when the land-owner, Thakur Shamsher Singh kills their dad, and brutally rapes and kills their mom.

Jaidev is sorry for Vandana, but gets his hopes up enough to propose to her, and to his joy, she accepts. The plans are on for an early marriage, but before that could happen Vandana meets a single mother, Gayetri, and her son. It is then she finds out that Jaidev is already married, and also has a son. What possible reason could Jaidev have for not sharing this information with Vandana?
- When Ravi is falsely accused of a crime and sentenced to imprisonment, his boss' wife promises to take care of his younger brother. However, Ravi is unable to find his brother after he is released.
- The diamond ring worn by Kiran catches the attention of two rival outlaws, Jagtap and Dhanraj. They all lodges their stay in the hotel Kiran is staying only to find another young man, Amar who is employed as a waiter. The major short-coming is none of them are not who they claim they are.
- Lalchand Dogra lives a wealthy life-style in his bungalow with his pregnant wife, Anjana and two sons, Raj and Jay. Due to Lalchand's criminal background Anjana is forced to leave his house after which Lalchand is arrested; in the process Lalchand's bungalow catch afire thus he loses track of his children and to worsen matters he is sentenced to several years in prison. Meanwhile Anjana give birth to a son who she name Sunny while Jay is adopted and raised by Police Commissioner, Paramjeet Singh and years later is a police inspector; unfortunately Raj is taken in by Lalchand's rival, Baba and is a career criminal. After completing his sentence Lalchand attempt to put his life together but gets to meet his sons as strangers: Jay who has been assigned to re- arrest him, Raj who has accepted a contract on Baba's request to kill him while Sunny is his bodyguard.
- Rewa Singh (Tabu) and Sia Sheth (Sushmita Sen) are inseparable friends. Their bond has grown despite of Rewa's marriage to Dhruv Malhotra (Sanjay Suri). All rejoice when Rewa and Dhruv are expecting a baby. Complications arise, and as a result Rewa loses the baby, and is devastated all the more when told that she can no longer bear children. Sia comes to her rescue by making herself available as a surrogate mother. This uplifts Rewa's spirits, and plans are afoot to make preparations for the forthcoming child. Then Sia starts having second thoughts of having to keep the child for herself; and an insecure Rewa starts doubting her husband, who she feels is paying far too much attention on Sia.
- A man tries to lead a double life as a Cop and at the same time look after his retarded twin brother and devoted mother. But then his dangerous police work comes in the way of his family life causing tragedy.
- Wealthy business, Chaubey, his wife, Lily, and daughter, Madhubala, return from Britain in order to visit India and find a suitable groom for Madhubala. They are met at the airport by Vikram, who would like to marry Madhubala. Though Lily fully approves of Vikram, Chaubey dislikes him instantly. They travel to the small town where Chaubey was born, and meet with Gopi. Gopi and Madhubala take an instant liking to each other, and get married. While Chaubey approves of this marriage, Lily does not. Lily gets together with Vikram and sets about to plot separating the newly married couple. She may not ply her skills as they are incompatible in every possible way, and may not need any help from anyone outside in order to break up this marriage.
- Balbir and Anwar are close friends who are both honest and brave, and always willing to lend a helping hand to any one who is in need, including the people behind a Ashram (resthouse for the poor). They are in love with two lovely ladies Paro and Husna Bano. Balbir's younger brother Vivek is a student and has fallen in love with another lovely young lady Nisha. Nisha is the daughter of Ranjit, a rich tycoon who will do anything to take-over the land and property of the Ashram, demolish it, and begin construction on it. He enlists the help of corrupt Jail Minister Veni Prasad Bhandari and Thakur Shakti Singh. When Balbir and Anwar frustrate his attempts he has them thrown in jail, and has the Ashram demolished by a bomb, placed by an escaped jail inmate. Balbir and Anwar escape from jail and avenge the demolishment and death of the innocent including Babaji by killing Ranjit in broad daylight, for which they are arrested and get a life sentence. The jail they are in is in charge of Jailer Rana Pratap who is a strict disciplinarian, as well as a honest and incorruptible. All three learn to respect each other. Meanwhile Balbir's brother Vivek is framed for the murder of Nisha's mom Sumitradevi and he too gets a jail sentence. Balbir and Anwar jail escapades are frustrated by Rana Pratap. Will justice be finally served? Who are behind the killing of Sumitradevi?
- C.I.D. Inspector Veer( Vinod Khanna) wages war against organized crime. His nemesis is Roshan Lala (Kiran Kumar) the overlord of the drug and gold smuggling racket in India. So dangerous a man Roshan is Roshan Lala that no witness has ever dared to come forward to give evidence against him in court. Frustrated by the lack of evidence and witness needed to convict Roshan Lala, Inspector Veer manages to infiltrate a young undercover officer Raksha (Juhi Chawla) into Roshan Lala's organization. However she is soon discovered to a Police officer and ruthless shot down by Roshan in a deserted street. Fatefully, this murder is witness by Mr. & Mrs. Saxena a respectable middle aged couple whose only daughter Meghna is engaged to be married to Inspector Veer. Is Roshan Lala successful in his design? Does Inspector Veer convict Roshan Lala or does he lose his beloved forever?
- Shiva (Sunil Shetty) is a professional hit man. Shiva accepts a contract from Jindal (Mohan Joshi) to kill Vikram (Mukul Dev). Circumstances force Shiva to come to know Mukul first, and instead of killing him, he becomes his bodyguard and protects him against Jindal and his men. Soon Shiva, Mukul, and Mukul's girlfriend Roshni Hiranandani (Pooja Batra) are on the run from Jindal's men. Jindal makes it clear that he will not rest until he sees the dead bodies of all the three. How long will they survive Jindal? Did Shiva really change his mind or is this his strategy to bring Mukul alive to Jindal?
- Vanshika Mathur (Karishma Kapoor), an orphan who lives with her aunt (Aroona Irani), is a simple middle class girl desperately in search of a job. Eventually she gets a job with Mr. Sinha (Alok Nath), a very successful businessman. Mr. Sinha is a widower who has a son Abhay (Chandrachur Singh). Abhay has grown up with his maternal uncle, Rakesh (Shakti Kapoor), a four-time divorce, whose motto is 'Stay unmarried and lead a Bohemian lifestyle'. Abhay is strongly influenced by his uncle and has grown into a flamboyant, arrogant, spoilt brat who has never put in a day's work at the family business.Mr. Sinha is obviously perturbed to the point of distress by the lifestyle his son leads - party all night and sleep through the day. He is determined to get his son back on the right track. In order to get Abhay into the office he entices him with the idea of young female secretary. He succeeds. Abhay meets Vanshika at the office. He is disgusted. She is flustered, but hopelessly in love. The rest of the film is a roller-coaster ride - a clash of the value system of the idealistic Vanshika and the non-existent morals of the wayward Abhay. But there are some unexpected twists, strange encounters (with Jabbar Khashogi-Danny Denzongpa) and unusual events courtesy (Jhonny Lever} on this exciting ride. Will Vanshika win Abhay over Yet again, will love triumph against all odds.
