- The Thornberrys are preparing for Donald "Donnie" Michael Thornberry's (Flea's) "birthday" party in Borneo (they don't know his real birthday, but celebrate the day they found him) when one crisis after another happens. Grandma Sophie (Betty White) decides to visit the same day Nigel (Tim Curry) and Marianne (Jodi Carlisle) must capture a wild orangutan on film or the foundation will cut their funding. This is no easy task since poachers are lurking about, and Marianne breaks her wrist climbing down a mountain. But to make matters even worse, Donnie runs off into the jungle after Eliza (Lacey Chabert) gets angry with him. As Eliza and Darwin (Tom Kane) search for Donnie in the rainforest, they run across a baby orangutan that needs to find her mother as Donnie is reunited with his "family", an orangutan and her son. Meanwhile, Debbie (Danielle Harris) and Grandma Sophie get taken in by a native tribe and Nigel and Marianne scare off poachers. Finally, the Thornberrys reunite after a huge fire and find Donnie in a remote village and learn from the medicine woman there the terrible fate that befell Donnie's real parents.
- It's Ronald's birthday and Hamburglar, upset that he didn't get Ronald a present, invites everyone to a fake amusement park known as "Birthday World" to celebrate, run by an evil mad scientist named Professor Thaddeus J. Pinchworm. Everyone is amused at first, but they can no longer escape and no longer fall for the poor designs of the rides until they ride a roller-coaster which turns them into babies (both Franklin and Tika are wearing diapers) and they need to find out how to return to their original ages, even though their certain abilities are limited since they are toddlers.
- While helping Franklin clean up his father's lab, Ronald and his pals stumble across a time machine. Hamburglar dreams up a crazy scheme to use the time machine to get out of cleaning and they end up getting lost in time. Their time travel adventures take them to prehistoric times where the time machine is nearly digested by a Tyrannosaurus and they meet their cavemen ancestors, the medieval times where they impress the crabby King Murray with a musical number to save captured Birdie, the wild wild west where they discover Hamburglar's ancestor Henry H. Burglar II, whom the residents mistake Hamburglar for, and the disco era of the '70s where they briefly encounter Mayor McCheese.

Hoodsey falls on his head and develops amnesia...Carl tries to help him regain his memory.

Lois puts up with him for Ginger's. Carl has new products to market--fabric softener that doubles as after shave and drier sheets that double as hankies. He uses Buzz' Kids as test subjects.
- Darren has his orthodontic head gear removed and the cool kids seem to see him for the first time. Miranda starts paying attention to him and it's not long before Ginger feels left out and forgotten. This seems to drive a wedge between Miranda and Courtney also. Once Darren starts dating Miranda he starts to realize what Ginger really meant to him. Carl and Hoodsey help Brandon find his missing monkey.
- A new girl arrives at Lucky Junior High and her arrival sparks a flurry of negative gossip. Ginger feels bad for her and starts making friends. It seems the new girl's father is a mortician and they live over the mortuary. When Ginger decides Laetitia should throw a party to introduce herself properly she finds it difficult to interest anyone in attending. Carl and Hoodsey suffer through Brandon's birthday party.
- Ginger helps wallflower student Hope Rogers improve her status by patterning her after Courtney, and her popularity skyrockets.
