The sixty five episode series, based upon the tape-and-book toy bear Teddy Ruxpin, unfolds gradually, as the Trio meet up with more and more interesting and often friendly creatures and visit intriguing lands.

It's all fun and gags;until General Klump and Krusha steal the Crystal Coconut. Meanwhile;K. Rool has locked himself in his vault;and can't get out. To make matters worse;the stolen Coconut falls into the hands of Candy Clone who is off to the White Mountains where Eddie the Mean Old Yeti lives. The chase is on!

And with good reason - after all;all DK and Diddy do with their days is sit around and eat bananas...Bluster owns a factory and is a successful businessape! How can he possibly compete with that? DK and Diddy learn that running a factory kind of takes the fun out of earning bananas...and almost lose sight of their true destiny when the Crystal Coconut is stolen! In the end;only Candy can convince DK that she loves him for who he is;not how many bananas he's worth.

While Cranky is laughing at DK and Diddy;Scurvy steals the coconut! Will they get it back before the "Bog Monster" eats them all? Will Cranky learn a lesson from Funky about "Zen Karma?" Stay tuned!

Rool, the King of Kremlings, wants to be the King of Kongo Bongo island, so he tries to steal it with his General Klump, his very, very, VERY dumb body-guard Krusha and his army of Kritters armed with KlapTraps-shooting weapons. And eat everything in site! Another villain is after the crystal coconut. Captain Skurvey and his crew Kuttless and Green Kroc and Polly Roger. Donkey Kong will need the help of his friends Diddy, Candy, Dixie, Bluster, Cranky, and Funky Kong all help out!
