- A crook on the run hooks up with a criminal gang to commit a kidnapping. However, things don't go quite as planned.

His feelings are expressed in the confrontation with Ani's father regarding the future of his daughter. In his desire to help her, Ivan is even being rude to Ani: "Live in the restaurants and practice your monologues or turn to periodical suicides!" These words hold the power of true love, they are full of pain and desire for help to the person who stand next to you. Ani tries to defend herself with the words: "...It is worse to be unable to do what you want". The way of the two young people to the truth and life will be long, as this truth is being overshadowed by them. For ten days Ivan lives through the excitement of love, the power of forgiving love of the mother in the city of sea and seagulls.
- On December 12th, 1969, a bomb went off at the Piazza Fontana in Milan that killed 16 people and injured 84. Railway worker and anarchist activist Giuseppe Pinelli was picked up, with other anarchists, for questioning regarding the attack. He was held and interrogated for three days, longer than Italian law specified that people could be held without seeing a judge. Just before midnight on December 15, 1969, Pinelli was seen falling to his death from a fourth-floor window of the Milan police station. Although officially deemed a suicide, the reporter who watched the fall from the street maintained that he was pushed. Three police officers interrogating Pinelli were put under investigation in 1971 for murder, but charges were dropped for lack of evidence.
- Growing-up village boy Marcin Debik feels bored of existence in his native place and not interested in realizing his father's ideas for living there for ever and making business there. The boy quickly advances in the skill so that he can independently run the studio after the uncle's sudden and untimely death. Under his management the studio gets modernized, furnished with modern equipment and decorations. Introduced are new advertising methods that gathered him new clients. Soon he becomes successful. His dream to own a car may come true. Opportunity arose when a man he knew, a used cars dealer, offered him an American Pontiac. Although the car had a nice paintwork and at first glance looked "like new", it soon turned out to be almost completely worn-out jalopy that consumes fuel like mad and slowly cracks up losing part by part during driving. The resulting costs of maintenance and frequent repairs soon exceeded Marcin's financial abilities. The affair, however, did not end there but developed into unexpected final upshot.
