- One of the ocean's most awe-inspiring creatures is the Manta Ray but, they are stealthy creatures and not much is known about them - where they go or what they do. In this first episode of the Ocean Mysteries series, host Jeff Corwin joins Dr. Tim Mullican, the VP of Veterinary Services and Husbandry at Georgia Aquarium as he attempts to place satellite-tracking tags on 10 manta rays. Once attached to the tough Manta hide, this groundbreaking satellite technology will provide valuable data that will help Dr. Tim and other scientist's track the manta's migratory patterns. But the task isn't easy. Dr. Tim must place the tags while lying on the deck of a small boat that stalks the twisting, turning Mantas as they "fly" through the water.
