- In the fashion of "White Men Can't Jump," Mike and Danny are involved in a local 2-on-2 tournament, but someone's killing the losers. Meanwhile, Mike gets a little friendly pressure to consummate their secret marriage from Piper, who also has a little pressure from her job when a magazine bigwig shows up and tests her services in the hospitality industry.
- Among the bounty hunters that the FBI has trailing them in an effort to catch a high priced claim jumper, is a gorgeous woman who used to be one of Danny's sergeants in Iraq, who does nothing for Dalinda's ego and her appearance. And Piper doesn't help matters, either, when she kicks Dalinda out of the pool because of the way she looks. One of Sam's whales has lost his family in a random act of violence and she feels the blues because she doesn't know how to help him.

- Jock insists on minding the office while JR goes to Washington, D.C. for more reasons than just business while Sue Ellen finds business of her own in the arms of JR's arch rival, Cliff Barnes. Things get complicated, though, when Sue Ellen finds out about her own predicament. Pam is torn between her job promotion, which means she'll have a buying trip to Paris, or standing by Bobby while he throws a business party.

Also, the homeless Carlos moves in with Mike, who begins to think that he might have killed Monique.

Tyra, meanwhile, has a hard time dealing with her mother's growing relationship with Buddy Garrity, and starts taking it out on his daughter, Lila. Jason gets an invite to join the local rugby team.

When Claire sees Clarence in a coffee shop with another woman, she reconsiders their position. Alan defends a man accused of helping his brother cover up a murder.
- Pam's sister informs her she's moving to Dallas, unaware that Kathryn's also trying to move in on her husband, while Mark keeps trying to move in on Pam. Meanwhile, Bobby tries to find solace in something other than a bottle and Cliff can't get over the self-blame for the death of his mother. Donna begins to realize the serious effects of JR moving in on a senatorial seat in Washington when Dave talks to her about it because he feels threatened by the notion.
- Infuriated by Bobby getting stonewalled by his brother, JR, Jock confronts JR about it and suffers a heart attack during the process. While Bobby fills in at the ranch, JR takes it upon himself to make a deal under the table that involves Section 40 of Southfork and doing something he knows will only upset his father.
- JR finds out that a friend of Pam's used to be a friend of his, as well, and has no problem taking advantage of that former friendship in an attempt to put some muscle on the man who put Cliff Barnes in power as head of the OLM. Bobby and Ray cross paths with the son of another independent oil man while attempting to corner some cattle rustlers. Sue Ellen's drinking begins to get the better of her, which only infuriates JR.

- As Homecoming approaches in Odessa, Claire's father makes an effort to save Claire's life. Peter, having tried to contact Hiro, flies to Texas in his effort to save the cheerleader. Hiro decided to head back in time in an effort to save the waitress, and Suresh can't get a dream out of his head and feels it has some answers about him and his father.

He decides to prove his theory and jumps from the roof of a building in an alley and his brother flies and saves him. In Texas, cheerleader Claire Bennet learns that she is literally indestructible and can not harm herself or die. She saves a fireman in a fire in a train, but does not take the credit. In Tokyo, Hiro Nakamura believes he can control time and space continuum. In India, Mohinder Suresh moves to the Brooklyn, New York, where his father, that was researching a secret project called Genesis about genome and DNA, is killed in a taxi cab. In Lower Manhattan, the painter Isaac Mendez paints pictures of the future. In Las Vegas, stripper Niki Sanders borrows $30,000 from a powerful local mobster to get her young son into school, and does not have the money to pay her loan. She sees a different image of her in the mirror, and when two gangsters come to her house to collect the money, one of them hits her and she faints. Later Nikki wakes up, and the two thugs are dead... literally torn apart by her evil alter ego.
- Hiro and his buddy embark on their heroic journey to New York, when they are stopped by a Vegas high-roller who offers them a deal they can't refuse. As H.R.G sets up a meeting for his daughter Claire with her biological parents, she hopes that questions about her newfound indestructibility can be answered. Meanwhile, Isaac receives another confusing call from Hiro, but Peter is there this time to pick up the phone and relay a life-saving message. Suresh bids farewell to Eden as he heads back to India to bury his father. An unexpected visitor shows up at Niki's home.

Chandra Suresh has come to America to find and contact the people he thinks have taken an evolutionarily step. Sylar is the first but doesn't appear to have extraordinarily powers but then has the power to move things with his mind after he invites and kill another person on Chandra's list and then goes back to Chandra
- Nathan stops at nothing when it comes to getting some kind of help for his unconscious brother. Hiro goes on a hunt for the sword he's seen in Isaac's paintings. Nikki tries to convince the police of her need for help in dealing with her split personality.

Mohinder finds another hero and agrees to help find a cure for her fatal disease, as Parkman and Bennet close in on the building they are in, looking for a link that could set them free. Niki/Jessica and D.L. are convinced that Linderman is behind their son's disappearance, as Linderman convinces their son to do a job for him.
- When Gabrielle travels to New York with the desire to return to modeling, she finds it hard to go back on her terms, rather than her client's. Back on Wisteria Lane, Lynette comes home from the hospital to recover from the shooting, and copes with the fact that her boys heard that she was shot at the supermarket. Lynnette is also grateful to Art Shephard for saving her life, but later finds some unsettling things about him. Susan comes home from a date with Ian to find Julie on the couch with a boy: the trouble-making Austin. However, Susan's attempts to keep them apart by bringing her ex-husband, Karl, into the equation backfires greatly. Bree struggles to find out why Orson will not tell her the reasons behind his strained relationship with pesky and obnoxious mother Gloria. Detective Ridley continues investigating the murder of the mystery woman, Monique, and begins to zero on Mike Delfino.
- Susan and Gabrielle hatch a plan to bail Mike out of jail, which means Gabby has to spend more time with her psychotic secret admirer, Zach Young, who agrees to post Mike's bail and hire him another lawyer after the one Ian hires persuades Mike to plead guilty to Monique's murder. Susan also learns that Ian's comatose wife, Jane, has taken a turn for the worse and spends time at the hospital with a friend of Jane's. In prison, Paul Young confides in Mike about his past and persuades him to try get his troubled son to visit him. Meanwhile, Orson becomes victim to a plot between his vicious mother Gloria, and his scheming ex-wife Alma who drugs and attempts to seduce Orson to bring him back into her life... until Bree finds out. Also, Lynnette gets pressured to skip another day of work to help Tom set up a street fair for some additional advertisement prior to the opening of his new pizzeria.
- Dave bunks in at Mike's after being thrown out by Edie, who ends up locked in a basement with Susan. Meanwhile, Katherine puts Mike on the hot seat by mentioning her offer to move away. Bree's future "son-in-law" Alex, defends Orson when she belittles his purchase savvy. Lynette finds out where her son, Porter, is hiding, which brings her face-to-face concerning the issues between her and her estranged mother Stella. Also, Gabrielle seeks to control her two unruly daughters when Carlos' new job keep him away long hours.
- Oceanside Wellness is put under quarantine when one of Cooper's patients contracts the measles. Naomi pressures Addison into working with her rival, Wyatt, on a fertility case; meanwhile, Dell fights for sole custody of his daughter, and Violet and Pete consider taking their friends-with-benefits relationship to the next level.
- Tragedy abounds for everyone at Seattle Grace as they all continue in efforts to get the paramedic out of the overturned ambulance, stop the bleeding of a man who won't quit, and a bigot with a Nazi tattoo on his stomach. On the personal side, Rebecca returns to spend time with Alex, Miranda's husband finds it harder to wait for her while she's in surgery, and Cristina still tries to get on Hahn's good side, even though Bailey has put her elsewhere.
- Having bragged about being able to sink to JR's level, Bobby does just that. Miss Ellie returns from Galveston with a new outlook on the race between her sons. Clayton decides to sell his ranch in San Angelo, while Cliff goes berserk when he finds out that what happened between Afton and Gil Thurman was really true. Lucy tells Ray the real reason why Mickey was delinquent in performing his duties on the ranch.
- Violet and Sam try to find some common ground when a man she's treating kills his wife, who's being treated by Sam for an incurable kidney disease. When Meg gets a job at Oceanside, she gets off on the wrong foot by offering services not supported by the partners. Addison is caught in the middle of a tug-of-war in which a woman in a coma goes into labor and the father won't permit a C-section in order to save the baby in hopes that labor will bring the mother out of the coma.
- Jason confronts Lyla about her and Tim. Matt asks Coach Taylor's daughter is she would like to go out sometime leading Taylor and his wife to worry about her.
