- The businessman Ernst has just landed in the airport and is on his way home to his wife. Its raining heavy outside and therefore he takes a hitchhiker with him. They start a conversation about the value of life and soon it becomes evident to the spectators that the hitchhiker is Jesus Christ, but Ernst is in too much of a rush to go back to his wife to notice.
- Set in the late fifties in Denmark the poor junk yard assistant Harry inherits some money. He decides to use the money to hire a butler. The butler isn't too keen on the job at first, but he takes it because there aren't that many butler-jobs around at the moment. In the beginning both of them don't know what to expect of the other, but find a way to satisfy both of them. The people in the neighborhood at first make jokes about Harry and his butler, but in the end they start to accept him when he starts to help them.
- The small town hairdresser Bjarne is planning the wedding of his daughter to one of the police-officers in town, but he can hardly afford it. At the same time the towns mayor gets a visit from his brother Knud who has stolen a Van Gogh painting and is on the run and needs money. If he doesn't get it he will tell the newspapers about his brothers shady past. But Knuds ex-partner and a mysterious Japanese man is on the trail of him. Soon everybody is mixed into the story and the painting changes hands several times...
- Three friends, Steffen, Thomas and Mogens spend a lot of time together in Julies apartment while they talk about soccer and how to get enough money for tickets to the big game next week. At the same time Julie is trying to get in contact with her boyfriend René who she thinks is having an affair. They all talk a lot about whats on their mind during this week.
- The young architect Walter leaves his wife Linda to go to L.A. to draw a mansion for Harrison. On the highway a truck driver almost drives him off the road. Walter calls the truck-company to complain. The driver gets fired. When Walter arrives to the apartment-block where he has rented a flat he meets the choleric landlord William and the others living there. But now the problems starts. The next morning somebody has ruined his drawing and Harrison dislikes what Walter has drawn. But soon everything gets out of hand. Walter gets into more trouble - one morning he finds rats all over his apartment and the next day he finds his beautiful neighbor killed in his bed - and he starts to think that it is the fired truck driver who is out to get revenge.
- After five years in prison for insurance fraud the sailor Lanarsky is released. Together with his buddy Bone he gets a job as seamen on board the yacht owned by the wife of his insurance fraud-partner Michael Reddick. Lanarsky has a question to his former partner who he thinks tried to cheat him. But Michael Reddich himself has another insurance plan ready where he will kill everybody on board the yacht, blow it up and then claim the life-insurance for his wife. But Lanarsky and the wife Lee escape and follow Michael to the nearby Cayman Island where the final showdown takes place.
- A Texan sheriff and his younger brother travel across the border into Mexico to confront the man who killed their father.
- Denmark in the 70's. The teenager Christoffer's parents Nisse and Maria have decided to move into a commune because they want to try the alternative lifestyle. But Christoffer doesn't like it and has trouble adapting. In school the others tease him because he lives in a commune. As a plan from the elders in the commune he starts in a Maoist group to learn about the real ways of the society. He doesn't like it but when his new girlfriend starts to see what he does as cool he goes into it. But at the same time the police start to suspect him to be the terrorist who blows up telephone booths around Copenhagen.
