This comedy gives us an insight into the cultural life of the 1950s. It takes place in the Vác machine factory, where Gyözö Réz, the leader of the factory workers' choir, who is in fact a "reactionary", shines in his old glory. The young people are represented by the "jampec" Tóni Swing, a fan of Western dance music and aficionado of fashionable dances. As a counterpoint, the young, innovative workers appear, who represent a positive direction in music as well.
