The FRC Robotics Season consists of a six week build period, followed by competitions. With less than two weeks left to build, close friends Ethan and James are struggling to finish the gear mechanism on time. One night as the two are arguing their prototype breaks during a test and the head coach Mr. Heitman is furious. With time running out he cautions them against any further delays. As the team breaks for dinner, the two sit and eat at their usual spot together. Despite the brief argument they had gotten into, before long the two friends clear the air. But as with most nights, dinner doesn't last too long as Mr. Heitman informs the team dinner is over. Ethan doesn't go up quite yet however as one of his closest friends Taiz noticed his quick turn around with James. As the two talk it becomes clear this wasn't James and Ethans first fight. Time passes since that night, build season comes to a close as the robot is finally finished. Three weeks pass following the close of build and the students are at the hotel they stay annually during their competition. The first day didn't go so well as once again the gear mechanism experienced a few problems on the field. It being their first conversation in weeks, things don't go well as a frustrated Ethan makes a move on James that he's been suppressing for months.
