- Donald Duck is at the beach and tries to ride a rubber horse. He notices Pluto sleeping at the shore and decides to have some fun with him by sending the rubber horse over to Pluto which completely mesmerizes him. Meanwhile, a tribe of ants abduct Donald's picnic lunch. Donald lays out fly paper to stop the ants. Pluto follows one of the ants and, of course, he and later Donald become enmeshed in the fly paper.—Matt Yorston <george.y@ns.sympatico.ca>
- Donald Duck and Pluto go to the seashore for a nice quiet picnic. But a colony of ants, appearing as a band of painted Indians, swoop down the chocolate-layer cake, and start to haul it away by pieces. Meanwhile, Pluto gets tangled up in some flypaper which Donald has placed to capture the marauding ants.—Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net>
- Donald Duck is vacationing at the beach setting up his beach picnic. After Donald is done setting the picnic food, he decides to go for a swim, taking his inflatable horse (Which is colored yellow with red spots including a red spot on his back representing a saddle, a red stripe around his nose representing a bridle, and a red spot on his rear representing the tail. Designed with a yellow ring for his tail located on his rear red tail spot, and an air valve sticking out of his nose), adaptly named Seabiscuit and tossing him in the water, he jumps on Seabiscuit, trying to ride him, only to slip right off the bobbing rubber horse and fall into the water.
An annoyed Donald sits up, then tries to mount with difficulty on the rubber horse rolling out from under him on the first time until at the second time he finally succeeds in mounting him, all the while he interprets Seabiscuit bobbing, bouncing, and slipping in the water as being frisky and, decides to attempt to sooth him with soft verbal requests too like "calm down" and "take it easy" as if he were talking to a real horse. After mounting on Seabiscuit's saddle spot, Donald exclaims "Giddy up!" and kicks the rubber horse so hard they flew a short distance before tumbling in the water, with Donald being tossed off in the process.
An annoyed Donald emerges out of the water looking around before coming in contact with the bobbing Seabiscuit's nose-valve on his head, much to his annoyance. Angrily, Donald grabbing the rubber horse's neck, and pulling him in the water yells "Hey! You rubber nag!" Donald then hears what sounds like someone snoring in the water only to see Pluto sleeping on the shore gargling and near-drowning with the approaching water from the rising tide. Donald at this point, decides to play a prank on Pluto, who woke up from a wave causing him to cough.
As Donald pushes Seabiscuit towards the rocks near Pluto's position, he replicates a horse whinny which catches Pluto ear. Seabiscuit drifts through the waves right behind one of the rocks as Donald replicates once again the horse whinny which then attracts Pluto's attention to the rocks. Then Seabiscuit bops his nose-valve on one side of the rock, adding simulated horse snorts for sound effects. Surprised by the noise and curiously intrigued, Pluto decides to investigate to see what that noise was.
Wading out to the rock, Pluto goes through a round of hide-and-seek, as the rubber horse's bobbing head appears first around one side of the rock, then the other, each time simulating a horse snorting sound effect from the nose-valve and alarming Pluto. Then as Pluto starts to check one side of the rock, Seabiscuit drifts from the other side of the rock and nose valve makes contact with Pluto's rear for a further alarming effect as Seabiscuit drifts back behind the rock.
Pluto picks himself up, eyeing suspiciously, while Donald hiding behind laughs at the events folding. As Pluto peaks from the side of the rock, Seabiscuit drifts around the other side of the rock collides with Pluto, bumping rear to rear and sliding tail to ring-tail, and is fully revealed when Pluto sends him up in the air, lands, and bounces nose-valve first on and off of Pluto's nose and scarring Pluto out of his witts.
Now angry, Pluto snorts at the intruder, sending him flying backwards into the rock. Its rubber construction merely makes it bounce back off the rock, and bumping nose-valve onto Pluto aggressively, knocking him into the water. Now growing more furious, Pluto leaps on the horse's back, and his weight wholly submerges the horse below the surface. Soon Pluto then frantically tries to push Seabiscuit into the water, to no avail, first Seabiscuit's rear and ring-tail, then his nose, fight to rise again to float upon the water.
Pluto gains leverage by planting his rear feet in the bay bottom, and pressing on both ends of the rubber horse with his front paws, until a trail of bubbles from the nose-valve seems to denote an exhaustion of air supply which blew at Pluto twice. But alas the minute a relived Pluto releases his hold, the horse springs up anew, still peppy and invigorated, and impacts Pluto from the rear, causing the dog's ears to tie themselves into a bow much to his shock.
Now finally angry up to the limit Pluto bites on the nose-valve on the rubber horse's muzzle and shakes him furiously until the valve accidentally twists open, letting all the escaping air out from Seabiscuit's nose-valve and into Pluto's mouth, and as Seabiscuit deflates Pluto begins to inflate and rising like a big balloon floating in the air. Finally Pluto, with all the air in him up to its limit, pops loose from the rubber horse's nose-valve and flys away. As Seabiscuit's deflated rubber body immediately sinks in the water, Pluto is sent flying through the air like a deflating balloon and back to the beach where he crashes into the porthole of a shipwreck on the beach, and in the process, the ship's bell is knocked loose and lands on Pluto's head with two"BONGGGS!"
Meanwhile a red fire ant (Who like the rest if its colony are depicted as Native Americans for some reason) is looking for food when it pokes its head out of the grass and looks around, until it happens to spot Donald's picnic, much to it's delight. Then letting out a war cry, it calls for the other ants from its colony to come and help steal the food. The ants in the style of a raid, swarm toward the picnic food, make their own sandwich and start carrying it away to their ant hill. Donald arrives to intercept the feeding frenzy and chases the ants away, landing in his pie in the process. Angrily, Donald Donald angrily rants at the ants, and then notices some flypaper and decides to use it on the ants to get rid of them or in his words "I'll stick everyone of them. Everyone!"
Unbeknownst to Donald, a lone ant tries to carry away a slice of his cake. But a still stuck Pluto spots the ant, who not looking where it was going bumps into Pluto who, much to the ant's fright, curiously starts sniffing at it as it runs away. In the process of freeing himself from the shipwreck, Pluto follows after the ant, tracking him with his nose. Donald had just finished setting up his flypaper trap, and sees the ant approaching ahead of Pluto, So he tosses another sheet of flypaper just in front of the ant. However, the clever ant stops just short of stepping into the glue, then wisely proceeds forward by ducking under the non-sticky backside of the flypaper - but Pluto get his nose stuck on the flypaper.
Pluto then tries to get the flypaper off only to get his paws, his ear, his side, and his bottom stuck to it. Donald laughs while watching Pluto's predicament, but only after a long struggle, Pluto flies backward and bumps into Donald, causing the flypaper to get stuck on their rears. Donald angrily rants at Pluto as they struggle to free themselves, until Pluto, having had enough of Donald's ranting, runs around in circles, tossing Donald into his flypaper trap, causing his body to get wrapped in all of the flypapers like a bundle. As Donald angrily tries to free himself, Pluto happy to be free, runs over to him and starts licking his face, in the process rolling two more sheets of flypaper across Donald's face to put a muffle on the non-stop complaining emitting from Donald's bill.
