Troubled actress Frances Farmer was cast in this, and showed up for the first day of filming, but was later fired by Monogram for allegedly slapping a studio hairdresser. She was subsequently arrested for violating her parole from a previous drunk-driving charge. She reputedly appears in at least one montage sequence, but was essentially cut out of the finished film. This would be her penultimate picture. Her last would come 15 years later in The Party Crashers (1958).
Actor William Marshall, who portrayed "Lunt," was listed in the onscreen credits as "Billy Marshall."
