Stan Laurel's scenes as Don Sebastian are dubbed by a Spanish-accented baritone voice in order to help the audience distinguish the two characters. However, in the scene in which the real matador says "Gracias," Laurel's real voice inexplicably remains.
Bulls shown are taken from different sources. Some of them have banderillas or laces, others are in the first steps of a corrida.
After being kissed by an admirer who'd mistook him for Don Sebastian, Stan faints, folding his arms as he is falling so that an off-screen stage hand can grab him at the elbows to break his fall.
When Richard K. Muldoon finally realizes that Don Sebastian is really Stan Laurel, he refers to him as "Hardy." The scene was not reshot or redubbed.
When Conchita is teaching Muldoon how to dance, she inexplicably goes from Step 2 to Step 4, omitting Step 3 entirely.
Some of the scenes of the arena are actually from Navarra Spain and not Mexico.
