The Titfield Thunderbolt (1953)
Sam Weech: They can't close our line, it's unthinkable
Gordon: What about the old Canterbury-Whitstable line? They closed that.
Sam Weech: Perhaps there were not men of sufficient faith in Canterbury.
Valentine: [proposing a toast] Our magnificent generals, General Gordon and General Booth.
Mrs Valentine: Do you know what time it is?
Valentine: Yes, my love: summer double time.
Sam Weech: We want the Titfield Thunderbolt.
George Blakeworth: Out of the museum?
Sam Weech: Yes, yes, she'll run. She's as good as she ever was. I'll stake my living on it!
Emily: Excuse me Sir but we are running at a profit.
Sam Weech: This is DREADFUL. The next thing we know we SHOULD BE NATIONALIZED!
Vernon Crump: In view of the very great dangers of a privately run railway, I feel that the only solution to the problem is a privately run bus.
