The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • At the end, Dr. Strangelove suggests that after the nuclear explosion to restore the population there will have to be a ratio of 10 women to each men, much to many of the men's approval.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A man is riding the nuclear bomb (famous scene) near the end of the movie. The scene end before the bomb explodes. It's not shown that the guy explode with the bomb, though it can be frightening for younger viewers.
  • The ending of the film depicts most of humanity being completely obliterated in hundreds of nuclear explosions. It is one of the most famous movie endings in history, but it might still be disturbing to the uninformed or those who haven't considered the possibility of this happening.
