In 1898, James Barrie becomes interested in some of the children playing in a park, including a boy who cannot grow up, and lands up getting involved with the Du Maurier family.
It is now 1914. Two soldiers ominously appear, one of them dies in the war. A friend tries to get one of the boys, Michael, to break away from Barrie, while another of the boys commits suicide.
