Sex & Nudity

  • At least two references to Playboy Magazine in various episodes.
  • Vague discussions about where babies come from; some dialogue about this where a character whispers the word "sex" and other characters spell the word out.
  • Some kissing and married couples making vague innuendos about making love.
  • A girl has an incessant crush on a boy and stalks him throughout the series, trying to kiss him often. Played for comedy.
  • No nudity. A girl's dress is unbuttoned in the back, but only reveals an electric panel.

Violence & Gore

  • Frequent jokes/comments made about beating a boy's buttocks and spankings as punishment.
  • A boy tries to punch a bully; the bully gives him a black eye, which is seen on-screen.
  • Some comedic slapstick violence, mostly played for laughs with nobody seriously hurt.
  • A man is kicked in crotch (off-screen).

Profanity

  • A man makes rude comments about babies with down syndrome, saying that he screamed so loud at a "cross-eyed chromosome" that he was kicked out of a library.
  • Mild name-calling and rude language, including "blubberbuns", "fatty", "boob", "ugly", "turdface", "sweaty" and "nerd".
  • Mild scatological humor, such as a boy telling another boy who ate 52 burritos that he will "go up like a hot air balloon" if he passes gas.
  • Mild sexual innuendo, nothing overly extreme or explicit.
  • Numerous jokes/insults directed towards overweight people.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A man offers white wine and harvey wallbangers to house guests.
  • References to beer-drinking.
  • A few scenes where minor children smoke cigarettes; a boy later reveals that his friend, who deals cigarettes, was diagnosed with oral cancer. A girl has smoke coming out her ears.
  • One brief reference to marijuana; no marijuana is ever smoked.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Vicky's mannerisms can be quite bizarre and eerie. She can, for instance, elongate her neck. She speaks in a monotone voice and sometimes becomes damaged by water. May spook younger viewers.
  • Thematic elements include running away from home, cigarette smoking, learning where babies come from, bullying, death, scamming, a plane being hijacked, and getting lost in the forest.
  • Vicky falls from a treehouse and appears to have died. Jamie and Joan cry and stroke her hair trying to get her to wake up.
  • Vicky is often in danger of being stolen, discovered, destroyed and dismantled due to her being a robot. This tension may upset some viewers.
