- Vicky's mannerisms can be quite bizarre and eerie. She can, for instance, elongate her neck. She speaks in a monotone voice and sometimes becomes damaged by water. May spook younger viewers.
- Thematic elements include running away from home, cigarette smoking, learning where babies come from, bullying, death, scamming, a plane being hijacked, and getting lost in the forest.
- Vicky falls from a treehouse and appears to have died. Jamie and Joan cry and stroke her hair trying to get her to wake up.
- Vicky is often in danger of being stolen, discovered, destroyed and dismantled due to her being a robot. This tension may upset some viewers.
