This show is awful. Awful in a way that can't be described. It's not as boring as NBC's Wings, but awful in its very own way. The plot is that when a sheriff dies, his wife takes his place instead of his Deputy Sheriff who...might know how to do the job? The show tries to be feminist without being annoying but only succeeds in being feminist without logic: why couldn't a woman be a sheriff in the first place? But no, she has to be the wife who suddenly becomes a sheriff and gets into wacky situations.
Imagine Three's Company with only Somers and you pretty much got it. Impossible to get through. And I pray to God that the negatives to this show have been destroyed enough to prevent a future DVD release. The only shining point in the whole two years of this is the performance of George Wyner, who finally got his due in Mel Brooks' Spaceballs. That poor, poor man.

...how angry I was that NBC canceled Max Headroom and kept this POS for another year. Now MH is a cult classic and headed for a reboot, again starring Matt Frewer and She's the Sheriff is relegated to the port-a-potty tank of TV history.
I guess Max Headroom was hitting a little too close to home for NBC execs.

I'm a fan of Suzanne Somers, I've watched all her projects: Series, Movies, Reality Shows and so on... and there is one project that I haven't seen! Namely the series - She's the Sheriff
I know that many people do not like it and treat it as critically as possible, but the fact that for all the time absolutely no one for the entire existence of social networks has not posted it in the public domain or video hosting of ANY EPISODE! Yes, I saw promotional videos for the series and one excerpt of terrible quality, but it's not enough + it's very strange!
I sincerely hope that someone will publish it.
It is a pity that the series has the status of Lost media.

How do a sexy beautiful legendary actress like suzanne somers who was sexy and good in three's company reduced to junk like this, she's plays a deputy who's become a sheriff after the person dies and shenanigans and stupidity ensues, the performances are truly horrible, the writing is worthless, the teleplay is non existent and the dialogue is absolutely, positively wooden and worthless, what the hell is the show is all about, this has got to be the worst tv show of not only somers comeback career (thankfully she went on to make her real comeback in step by step), not only the worst show of 1987, but one of the worst shows ever made, this is junk 100%, glad this show is cancelled after 2 dreadful seasons
I Gave it a big fat F.

I thought this show wasn't bad. Sure it's a cheesy sitcom, and sometimes that is the relief I need. Don't take things so serious and it can be a fun watch. I haven't seen it for years, but I would enjoy watching it again.
