10 Movie Couples Who Dated In Real Life

10 Movie Couples Who Dated In Real Life
Sometimes, the chemistry between two actors can be so strong that this continues offscreen as well, resulting in a real-life romance. Famously, Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn fell in love on the set of Overboard and have been together ever since, while the same happened for Warren Beatty and Annette Bening when they were making Bugsy.

However, not every movie couple that tries to make things work in the real world has as much luck or finds their "fairy-tale ending." From brief flings such as Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst's short love story while shooting Spider-Man to more long-lasting relationships like the one between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, fueled by their Twilight flirtation, these couples may have eventually called it quits, but for a moment, they sent fans into a frenzy and have remained iconic pairings to this day.

Overboard Is One of My Favorite Movies, but Dean Should Have Gone to Jail For a Very Long Time

Overboard Is One of My Favorite Movies, but Dean Should Have Gone to Jail For a Very Long Time
Let me preface this by saying Overboard is one of my all-time favorite movies (I'm talkin' the original 1987 version and not the 2018 remake that I still can't believe got approval to be made). In addition to Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell's undeniable chemistry in the film, Hawn's comedic timing is truly unmatched. Her portrayal of snobbish and wealthy Joanna Stayton who thinks a chipped manicure, sub-par caviar, and a noncedar shoe closet are the world biggest problems is hilarious at every turn. From her disgusted facial expressions to her "I ate a bug!" declaration while being forced to sit in the back of a pickup truck rightly solidified her status as a Hollywood legend.

Yes, the movie is over 30 years old and *standards* were different back then, but I'm pretty sure crimes like kidnapping were not.

Russell, on the other hand, plays a local carpenter named Dean Proffitt who,

Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn's Thoughts on Acting Together Will Make You Lol

Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn's Thoughts on Acting Together Will Make You Lol
Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn don't often star in the same films, but when they do, they make it—working with your significant other, that is—look easy. So what's their secret? "Do it every 33 years, first of all," Russell joked on the Monday, Nov. 30 episode of Daily Pop, referencing how long it's been since he and his longtime love headlined a film together: 1987 for the romantic comedy Overboard. "Exactly!" Hawn chimed in. "It's not an everyday thing!" Indeed it is not. Since Overboard, Hawn has only worked alongside her partner of 37 years once, and that was just to make a brief cameo in the 2018 Netflix flick The...

‘The Christmas Chronicles 2’ Review: Kurt Russell’s Santa, Now Joined by Goldie Hawn’s Mrs. Claus, in a Yuletide-Kitsch Adventure

‘The Christmas Chronicles 2’ Review: Kurt Russell’s Santa, Now Joined by Goldie Hawn’s Mrs. Claus, in a Yuletide-Kitsch Adventure
Not so long ago, there were three or four new Christmas movies a year. Now it seems like there are 30 or 40, and if you’re wondering how that assembly line of holiday product gets filled, the answer is: by recycling endless variations on the same yuletide fairy-tale kitsch and we’re-all-one-big-nettlesome-Christmas-family glorified-sitcom cheer.

Take “The Christmas Chronicles 2.” Directed by Chris Columbus, with his leftover-’80s synthetic-is-the-new-real life’s-a-snow-globe touch, it’s a movie in which Santa Claus, played with winning macho bluster by Kurt Russell, has to save Christmas from the depredations of an angry fallen elf. But it’s also a family-therapy movie; a tale about the logistics of Christmas set at a North Pole that’s like a resort shopping mall filled with snow that looks like a blanket of Ivory-soap shavings; a “Raiders of the Lost Santa” sleigh-race-through-the-air action movie; and a comedy bauble that’s

‘The Christmas Chronicles 2’ Film Review: Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn Team Up to Save the Holidays

‘The Christmas Chronicles 2’ Film Review: Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn Team Up to Save the Holidays
Santa’s back, and Goldie’s got him, as the MGM marketing department of yore might have put it, and while Netflix’s “The Christmas Chronicles 2” hits pretty much every note you’d expect, it throws in enough surprises, and deep dives into Yuletide lore, to keep it from being mere tinsel.

In a year when most of us won’t be able to spend the holidays with our families, the film offers a reunion or two: Hollywood power spouses Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn co-star in a movie for the first time since the original “Overboard,” and Christmas royalty Chris Columbus returns to the director’s chair after producing the first “Chronicles” in 2018.

This time, Columbus co-writes with Matt Lieberman (who also wrote the original), and the two of them have clearly done their Christmas research, crafting a storyline that weaves in everything from Santa’s Turkish origins

Kurt Russell movies: 15 greatest films ranked from worst to best
Kurt Russell was born on March 17, 1951, in the Los Angeles suburb of Thousand Oaks. He will celebrate his 69th birthday this year, so Gold Derby is taking a look back at his film career.

Russell started acting at the age of 12 on various television programs. In the 1960s he was signed to a 10-year contract with Walt Disney, which led to his appearance in many of the Disney films of the era. According to the late Robert Osborne of TCM (via Wikipedia), he became the studio’s top star of the 1970s.

Those Disney appearances did typecast Russell a bit and he would be stuck playing many roles that were somewhat wholesome in nature. He would turn that image around when director John Carpenter (fresh from the surprise blockbuster success of “Halloween”) cast him in the lead role of Elvis Presley in a TV movie called “Elvis!” That television film
