Violence & Gore

  • During Charlie's escape from the pound, the guards open fire upon him and Itchy.
  • Carface tries to shoot Charlie with a Tommy gun. He is hit, but, due to already being dead, is not injured. The scene is very slapstick and played for laughs.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A big group of dogs is shown drinking and smoking, in a bar, fairly briefly. Race announcer has a cigar in his mouth.
  • Carface is always seen with a cigar.
  • Carface got Charlie drunk.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The scene where Anne-Marie overhears Charlie telling Itchy that he is "using the girl" and Anne-Marie breaks down yelling "You're a bad dog!" is very unsettling and thematically emotional.
  • When Carface finds out that Charlie is still alive and comes up with a plan (with Killer) to kill him, his face morphs into the Devil. This may be frightening to small children.
  • Carface neglects and verbally abuses Anne-Marie causing her to break down crying, this maybe upsetting for some viewers.
  • Anne-Marie (for whatever reason) comes down with a lung infection, which consequently involves her coughing HELLISHLY.
  • Later a large demon is shown waiting to collect the dog and calling it, but it is chased away by an "angel".
  • Overall, this is a little more dark and mature for a children's film.

Then a ball of light arrives to drive it away and informs Charlie that because of his sacrifice to save Anne-Marie, he has earned his place in Heaven again.
  • Charlie has nightmare, where he's caught up in a mystical storm and dragged down to Hell, featuring a skeletal demonic boatman, a large (and almost dragon-like) dog-devil, and assorted other fiery demons. This scene is brief but very intense.
