Sex & Nudity

  • In one episode, Tommy and the other babies are seen nude but their bare buttocks are seen.
  • In "Reptar's Revenge" (S1 E12b), there is a poster that is shown briefly of a nude female.
  • The babies wear diapers.
  • The babies appear naked from time to time, but only their butts are shown.
  • Papa pulls out a VHS movie called "Lonely Space Vixens" and he tells the babies it's after they go to bed.

Violence & Gore

  • In the episode "The First Cut", you can see blood dripping from Tommy's finger.
  • Mostly just verbal fights and mild slapstick fighting. Bumped heads are probably the most violent thing on the show, and even those scenes are tame.
  • A lot tamer compared to shows like "SpongeBob SquarePants".
  • In the episode "Sand Ho!" The babies play pirates and Tommy and Angelica have a sword fight using sticks as swords.

Profanity

  • Mild name calling
  • Angelica uses insults towards the babies such as 'dumb', 'stupid' etc.
  • Hardly any bad language whatsoever.
  • The word "Spaz" has been used by Angelica in the first "Tales from the Crib" DVD movie, however.
  • The episode "Word of the Day" parodies what happens when a young child picks up a swear word, nothing is actually said and whenever the swear is said various sound effects like a truck horn, jackhammer and screaming are heard.
  • A character is named "Lipschitz," which is pronounced "lip-shits."

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A few minor adult characters smoke in early episodes.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Angelica frequently bullies babies. Her cruelty may be a bit intense and upsetting to some viewers. However, it should be noted that Angelica almost always gets her comeuppance by the end of the episode and she is left with very little friends.
  • None in a lot of episodes.
  • For preschoolers/young kids.
  • Quite an TV-Y show.
  • The babies often get into perilous situations but always escape unharmed.
  • The facts behind Chuckie's Mom may upset some viewers.
