Ronnie has quit. An earthquake hits the city. Everybody is concerned about Susan after her divorce. Her older sister Paige Turner moves to the city and she hires her as the receptionist. Susan has a big breakdown.
It's Susan's birthday. She's turning 40 and insists that she's fine with her age. Jack offers himself as a gift but only until midnight. There is also the hot gardener.
Susan is finalizing her divorce with Joey. Jack is concerned that it's being handled by Joey's lawyer. Susan goes to Las Vegas to sign the papers. Jack and Paige insist on joining her. Joey wants to try again.
Paige is going away for Columbian sweaters and Artie throws a party. Susan gets drunk after one drink and can't remember a thing. Next day, Paige returns and reveals that she had slept with Jack.
Paige is desperate to get into the Hollywood business. She convinces Susan to meet movie star Meg Porter who is a fan of her book and wants advice on Meg's next role.
Homeless guy Bernard helps Susan when she locked her keys in her car. She offers money but he has an unusual request instead. He'd like a private place to take a shower.
Paige hosts a local public access television show. Sean is her director and she gets Artie as her first guest. It goes badly and she convinces a reluctant Susan to be her second guest. The sisters get into an on-air fight.
Dr. Morehead is Susan's psychiatry idol. He asks her to introduce him at a charity dinner. Paige believes that he's a jerk and he's using Susan due to her popular book. In fact, it's something more devious.
