MPAA Rated PG for some thematic elements

Sex & Nudity

  • Brief mention of a news report about sex and violence in film.
  • Some mild innuendos
  • A couple scenes of passionate and sensual kissing, including a woman in only a shirt straddling a man. This scene might be awkward for younger viewers, they clearly are going to have sex and they make noises and moan. It is not a short scene.

Violence & Gore

  • Several police cars chase Phil and two other men, who joyride in a pickup truck.
  • Phil commits suicide several times, but always wakes up the next day. The viewer should know that this is all for comic effect and is in no way graphic.
  • Phil drives a truck into a gorge. The truck blows up.
  • Phil jumps off a tall building. His body is seen in the morgue. Phil gets into a bathtub with a toaster.
  • Phil lets a truck hit him in the middle of the road.
  • An old man dies in an alley. This is seen a few times in a nonviolent way. Phil tries to save him each time and fails.
  • Rita slaps Phil several times.

  • The Middle Finger is flashed at least 1 time.
  • 3 uses of Hell
  • 1 use of Crap

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Mild cigarette smoking throughout the film.
  • A party scene takes place that involves drinking.
  • Characters order drinks at a bar several times.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The idea of dropping a toaster into a bathtub would be easy to copycat for curious individuals.
  • The entire premise of being forced to live one day of your life over and over again could be disturbing for some people, even though the film plays it in a somewhat comical manner.

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Some of the suicide attempts (all shown back to back) could startle or frighten some younger kids considering the movie is a romantic comedy in nature.
