MPAA Rated PG-13 for some sexual references

Sex & Nudity

  • A 12 year old boy asks if he can have strippers at his birthday party.
  • A character is described as having crabs, and "not the edible kind."
  • A woman considering a short dress is told she'd look like a harlot, a street walker, too easy, and would need to wax.
  • During a swimming pool scene, several girls (and boys) are seen in a swimwear. We can see a man staring at the body of a young girl.
  • No actual sexual references just innuendos relating to genders:
  • A man dresses up as a woman to be Mrs. Doubtfire.
  • Lydia asks if Mrs. Doubtfire has "balls".
  • Mrs. Doubtfire tells Stu that his Mercedes car is probably to compensate for small genitalia.

Violence & Gore

  • While trying to make dinner for the family, Mrs. Doubtfire's breasts catch on fire.
  • No actual violence just arguments and a brief scene of bullying.
  • Stu is tormented by Mrs. Doubtfire and nearly chokes to death on a shrimp until Doubtfire saves him.
  • A few grotesque scenes involving human-like faces being shaped with latex, including a rudder old woman mask getting run over by a truck.
  • A man is hit on the head with a fruit.
  • A woman hits animals with a broom.
  • Daniel says that he wants his ex-wife to get amoebic dysentery and this causes his youngest daughter to believe that he "wants mommy to die".
  • A robber tries to steal Mrs. Doubtfire's purse.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Daniel drinks a lot.
  • Daniel and his friends drink at a dinner and they start getting close to drunk.
  • Lab techs at a TV station smoke cigarettes.
  • A cartoon bird is seen smoking a cigarette and choking.
  • Mrs. Doubtfire says he has medication that she can't take orally.
  • Mrs. Doubtfire says that her husband was an alcoholic who was "killed by the drink, literally" after being squashed by a delivery truck from a Guinness bottling factory.
  • mrs Doutfire and Stu are seen drinking alcohol.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • While the middle hour of the movie is comedic, the first 30 minutes and the last 15 minutes are quite serious in nature. The parents yell and fight in front of the kids, get a divorce, cry, go to court, fight for custody, etc.
  • Overall, this film is suitable for everyone of all ages.
