Storyline

Angels are dispatched from heaven to inspire people who are at crossroads in their lives. Monica (Roma Downey), an angel who at times still needs some guidance with her Earthly assignments, reports to Tess (Della Reese), her tough, wise, and always loving supervisor. Joining them is Andrew (John Dye), who, in addition to his duties as the Angel of Death, helps out as a caseworker on various assignments. The angels may not bring answers to every problem, but they always deliver a message of hope. Written by DANIEL

Trivia

Della Reese's childhood friend Marla Gibbs guest-starred in one episode of this show, as one of the psychics, attempting to commit suicide. This was after Reese had guest-starred in two episodes of Gibbs's 227 (1985). In one episode, Reese played Sandra's long-lost mother, who was visiting town, and in another episode, she played an angel (in Heaven), of whom Lester had dreamt, when both he and Mary were attending church. I don't believe in Angel or God BUT...
16 September 2001 | by yojimbo999See all my reviews

...I have to admit, every time I accidentally turn into this show (re: I never intentionally seek it out, but always run across it while channel surfing) I always leave it on. Now, mind you, I have very little faith in the existence of God or, God forbid (natch), angels, I can't help but feel a little, well..."touched" at the end of every episode. I've seen about a half dozen episode in all the years it's been on, and it is a worthwhile show. You would have to be completely fanatical about the NON-existence of God and angels to hate this show, since it doesn't offend, but just tries to offer good thoughts.
