Trivia

The name of the social service group the girls joined was the Bob-o-Links. Protti lured Costas out of her home on false pretenses by telling her there was dinner for the new "Bobbies". See more »

Goofs

At Stacy's funeral, the liturgical colors are incorrect. Assuming that it is a Roman Catholic funeral, the priest should be wearing a black stole and the cloth draping over the casket should also be black. Instead, the priest is wearing a green stole and the cloth is purple. Even if this scene was not intended to depict a Catholic funeral, the colors are still inconsistent. Any Christian denomination using liturgical colors would not combine the colors green (ordinary time) and purple (seasons of penance) in the same liturgy, funeral or not. See more »

Quotes

Stacy Lockwood: Okay, once upon a time, there was a very strange little girl named Monica. Her face was very, very white and her clothes were very, very black. Now Monica was so weird that none of the other little girls would play with her, so she made her diary her constant companion. And here's what she had to say to it...

Okay movie, but factually inaccurate
11 January 2002 | by Blondie_See all my reviews

As for the actual making of this movie-it is a typical run-of-the-mill TV movie, but it's entertaining and enjoyable. It manages to be gritty and intense and has some creative and effective camera shots.

The only exception I take is to the accuracy, being that it is based on a true story. I am friends with someone who knew Kirsten (the real life victim, I can't remember her last name at the moment) and Bernadette Brophy (the real life killer) through cheerleading camps they mutually attended, and he said that Kirsten was not at all the witch that she was portrayed to be in the film. She was nice to everyone and never picked on anyone. She and Bernadette had a fight and Bernadette killed her out of fear that Kirsten would smear her good name. I think it is unfair that the filmmakers would smear Kirsten's good name like they did. It must be so offensive and hurtful to her family and all who knew her. Kind of hard to enjoy this movie when you know that.
