Storyline

A teenage girl babysits two young kids while the parents go out to a party. Her boyfriend is coerced (with the help of alcohol) by an old 'friend' into going to the house. Both boys are obsessed with the babysitter, as is the father of the two children. The story basically shows the effects drink has on different people. Written by Rob Hartill

Goofs

When the babysitter is putting the baby in the crib, as she first stands there holding it, you can clearly see by the stiff limbs that it is a doll. The next cut, with the camera looking in past her shoulder, does show a real baby. See more »

A turkey.
7 September 2001 | by gridoonSee all my reviews

"The Babysitter" is a bizarre, repetitive and often campy turkey. Most of the film consists of endless fantasy sequences that are never as steamy as they are supposed to be. A fine cast is totally wasted, especially George Segal, whose role couldn't be more pointless. This movie was misconceived all along and is worth watching only if you're curious.... (*1/2)
