“The Americans” showrunners, Joe Weisberg and Joel Fields, have previously stated that Season 5 of the FX series “will be a great season.” As fans prepare for the upcoming episodes, the network has unveiled the first trailer of the Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys-starring drama.
At the end of the Season 4, viewers last saw William (Dylan Baker) infecting himself with the Lassa virus, surrendering after he was trapped by the Feds. Arkady (Lev Gorn) was given 48 hours to leave the country, and Elizabeth (Russell) and Philip (Rhys) were wondering if they should take their kids to Moscow. Picking up right where it left off, the spy thriller will keep audiences glued to their seats.

Somebody needs to call the Poe-Poe, because this show has broken every law of good television.
What started out as a fun, frothy, ghoulish melange of police procedural and serial killer fantasia has devolved into an absolute dumpster fire of a show. It's not fun, it's not clever, it's not compelling, and it's not remotely believable anymore - and this episode's stupidity put the final nail into the coffin of the show that should, in the words of Edgar Allen Poe, be "Buried Alive".
Still, because I am contractually obligated to cover this episode... and there may be a gay character tucked into a crawlspace somewhere, here we go:
Jacob (Nico Tortorella) wakes up to the sight of a supremely ripped, towel-clad (and somehow not-dead) Paul (Adan Canto) entering the room. Jacob then finds Emma (Valorie Curry) dead in the shower. Wait, is this Jacob's dream sequence or mine?...

A policeman, Hatch ( Todd Mann) cuts himself and his skin falls off, only his blood and entrails are left behind. Ooh Dean (Jensen Ackles) get a shirt! Dean is dreaming, Sam (Jared Padalecki) is exercising and Dean's on the road. So we see him naked too! Sam's been with a pro, (Julia Voth) which he wouldn't really do if he was the 'old' Sam. He pays her and where was Dean's tattoo as Sam still has his? Sam throws her card away - well he can hook up with anyone and he does that as routine now. Sam is in Pennsylvania and Dean tells him it's been one and a half days, since they were just on a case, Sam likes to work. Dean: "Who died and made you boss?" That's a loaded question for this show considering the number of deaths of lead characters and others. So don't answer that Sam.
