Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • A man is stabbed with a harpoon, and another knifes his own face before being impaled by a harpoon. The scary part is that he sings when he is about to die. He is seen in an ambulance with a fair amount of blood.
  • Castor's plane crashes into a hangar and he and Pollux come out shooting and many people are shot and killed.
  • Castor tries to pull a knife on Sean, who kicks him several times. Castor then ends up in a wind tunnel where he's blown against the back wall and is knocked into a coma.
  • A scientist puts out her cigarette in Castor's arm to prove that he's in a coma and can't feel anything.
  • After Dietrich asks Sean how his (dead) son is, Sean grabs him by the throat, throws him to the floor and holds a gun to his head.
  • There is a huge, long gun battle between Dietrich, Sasha, Sean and FBI agents where many people are shot and killed and Sean is nearly hit by several grenades that are fired at him. Pollux falls to his death and Castor shoots an F. B. I. Agent in the head for making a comment about his brother.
  • After being shot on a balcony, the prisoner trips and goes from the banister; barely in time, another man gives him a rifle to help him land. The man then drops the rifle and dies when he loses control of the nozzle. He falls to his death.
  • Level of violence:10/10.
  • Several intense shoot-outs from beginning to end. Many characters are shot, but none are very graphic, though in many shootouts blood mist and splatter can be seen. In some shootouts bloody wounds can be seen.
  • The film opens on a man being shot in the back with the sniper but actually his son is killed from that same shot leveled. The marry go round has blood splat on the horse and the weakened man holds his son.
  • An undercover woman on a plane pulls out her gun, but a criminal hits her with his computer. A man then holds his gun to the pilot's head to make him take off. A man then shoots the woman and throws her body from the moving plane and onto the runway.
  • Castor shoots at Sean in his helicopter while Sean fires back and blows out one of the plane's engines. Castor then shoots the pilot (implied through blood splatter on the steering wheel).
  • Castor is stabbed in the thigh with a knife by Jamie which is then turned so the wound cannot heal. (very little detail)
  • After a bullet (fired from a distance) blows off a character's ear, we find out that a team of surgeons used laser technology to create a new ear.
  • A character in a prison is beaten and is subjected to shock treatment which makes him foam at the mouth, another man then is put on the chair however he escapes before he does get shocked.
  • Two prisoners fight with many punches, kicks and elbow strikes. One prisoner cuts his opponent's chin with a metal tray before slamming the tray in the other guy's face. He then continues to hit and kick his defeated opponent. however, he stops after realising what he is doing, and he was only doing this to act tough.
  • Sean plans to escape prison by attacking guards, who beat him and take him to a room where another inmate is receiving electric shock therapy. They attack guards, many of whom are shot and killed by the other inmate. Sean shoots a few guards, while other prisoners attack the guards. A bottle of acid is thrown into the air, spraying it onto two guards, causing death. Many shots are fired, and Sean is fired at from a helicopter.
  • Jamie's date won't accept "no" for an answer and starts to sexually attack her. Castor then comes outside, smashes the car window and pulls the punk from the car and proceeds to beat him up with punches and kicks. Castor forces the man to apologize.
  • A big gun battle takes place inside a church where many more people are shot and killed. Castor then escapes and shoots more people dead and then gets into a gun battle with Sean while driving boats. Several boats explode, some coast guard guys are shot dead, and Sean and Castor then fight hand to hand with Castor going after Sean with a boat's anchor.
  • A man is struck on the back of the neck, then on the chest by another man after he starts suspecting him. He dies of a heart attack and there is a funeral scene.
  • A surgery scene involving a double face-transplant is shown, sometimes in graphic detail, though these shots are rapid and only seen for a split second and in the background. Castor's skinless face is seen reflected in another man's glasses for about eight seconds.
  • A team of surgeon's are seen tied up and gagged, they are then showered in petrol and set alight by a gang of criminals, this is a quick scene and we only see flames, no blood or gore.
  • An FBI agent is shot directly in the head by a angry and grieving man, blood is seen and he falls to the ground dead.
  • A man is thrown from the roof of a building by another man, crashing through several glass ceilings before falling to the ground. We see his bloodied dead body. A man then grieves over his body.
  • In a shootout, a man tries to shoot another man however another man gets in the way and is shot in the neck by him. We see the bullet hole in his neck and blood splatter out, he comforts his family before he drops dead (he covers the wound with his hand).
  • A butterfly knife is presented with glamorous and instructional detail to a teenage girl and is seen in use.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The villain smokes throughout the film.
  • A teenage girl is caught with cigarettes and they are taken away by a man. However, later she is given a cigarette by the same man and they smoke together.
  • A character guzzles a drink spiked with a powdery drug and is later shown to have delayed reaction times.
  • Several male and female criminals snort cocaine and powder from pills. One character is extremely disoriented after this.
  • Characters smoke and drink alcohol.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • While not designed to be frightening or tense in the traditional sense, many of the action oriented scenes come across that way.
  • A standoff occurs in a church and it, and the moments leading up to it, are tense.
  • Sean's son dies in his arms in a flashback scene and ever since he, his wife and their daughter all deal with this loss in different ways, and there's still a great deal of tension there. He's distant and focuses on work instead of family, Eve is cold because of this, and Jamie is rebellious.
  • The movie has extremely gory and brutalized violence.
  • Castor aims at and shoots Sean and his son on a carousel with a sniper rifle, killing just the son.
  • Two characters have their faces removed and placed on one another in a graphic surgical procedure. One character wakes up after the procedure without his face and we see the bloody result for a moment in a reflection.

  • After a long fight scene containing several punches and kicks, Castor is shot with a harpoon gun by Sean. We see it lodge into his stomach graphically and later see him twitching. Prior to this, Castor begins cutting the edges of his own face with a broken piece of glass.
