  • A man shoulders into another man. The man attacks the victim and another man and the rest of the crowd pummel and kick him several times until they smash him through a glass window.

  • A man pushes his mother-in-law only to have another man punch him in the chin and kick him until someone else intervenes.
  • A man injects himself with a unknown drug; we see blood.
  • A man throws an empty beer bottle at the wall, tears the phone cord out of the wall and then tears his apartment apart.
  • A man screams and kicks a locked gate door. Then he kicks a rock loose from a wall and throws it through the window. He makes a lot of death threats.

Profanity

  • This movie is one of the most profane films of all time with 428 uses of the word "fuck" and 83 uses of "cunt", making it the movie with the most c words of all time and #5 most f words for a non-pornographic English language film.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Characters frequently smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol, sometimes to the point of intoxication. Several scenes take place in pubs and a woman smokes and drinks while pregnant.
  • A character is a heroin addict and we see him shooting up several times. Cocaine and speed are snorted a couple times.
  • Weed is smoked a few times and is often mentioned.
  • Nearly everyone smokes throughout the entire course of this picture.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The nose-biting and wife-beating scenes are fairly brutal. A lot of angry, violent threats coming from Ray Winstone's character.
