- The 2019 UHD release and the Disney+ print removes the clip of Prospector chatting with the Barbies in his box. It was also removed from the versions available digitally.
- The original theatrical versions (both with and without bloopers) begin with the Pixar-variant of the Walt Disney Picture logo, accompanied by a fanfare composed by Randy Newman. In current prints, the original logo and fanfare are replaced by the 2006 logo and fanfare.
- In the international version, during Buzz's speech, the waving American flag is replaced with an animated spinning globe with fireworks exploding, and Randy Newman's "One World Anthem" briefly playing over it.
- On foreign dubs, the opening title would be different depending on a specific language. For example, on some dubs, the English title would show up first with the '2' on it, then when the part that the '2' was supposed to appear originally, it would show either the foreign logo of the film (i.e. in Japanese, Chinese, Hebrew, Thai or Turkish) or a subtitle under it (i.e. in European Spanish, Italian or Portuguese), the rest of the world that used the original English title (i.e. the rest of Europe and all Scandinavian countries) would use the same animation as the English version.
- On UK TV broadcasts before the mid-2010s, the USA version (which has the American flag behind Buzz during his speech) was used. The picture in the film was also zoomed in a bit, missing some details.
- Two versions of the film have been released, one with outtakes. This was done because Disney hoped it would encourage people to view the film a second time.
