The theme song for Bmf is a banger. Rapper and executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson spits the lyrics for the Starz crime drama’s title song, “Wish Me Luck,” while R&b legend Charlie Wilson croons the hook.
There’s just one problem: Bmf is set in Detroit and tells the story of city natives and kingpins the Flenory brothers — Demetrius “Big Meech” and Terry “Southwest T” — so why not use Kash Doll? She’s a local rapper who has a recurring role on the show as Monique. Eminem, who will appear later in Season 1 as Rick Wershe, aka White Boy Rick,...

California mother-of-four Jamie Snider had just given birth to twins when she died on March 17 — after beating cancer twice, and just one day after giving birth to twins. She was 30 years old.
Snider, who lived in Fresno, had been diagnosed with a rare, aggressive variety of cervical cancer prior to her pregnancy and had an ovary removed, only to learn the cancer had returned during her second pregnancy, according to a report by ABC 7. At Stanford Medical Center, Snider underwent intensive treatment that included chemotherapy throughout her pregnancy, and beat the disease again.

Before Tim Miller's leaked VFX test for Deadpool went viral and acted as a pitch that Fox couldn't turn down, there were other people who took a crack at bringing the Merc with a Mouth to the big screen. In a chat with ComicBook.com, artist Kelton Cram (Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, X-men: First Class) revealed that he'd worked on designs for a Deadpool film that would've been written and directed by Jeff Wadlow (Kick-ass 2).
Wadlow put together a pitch back in 2013. Cram revealed, during the interview, that it would've pit Deadpool against The Marauders- a super-villain team. Cram says the concept was to create "a self-made, makeshift suit made from motorcycle gear. As with most origin stories, this suit would go through a transition, eventually becoming something closer to the one he wears in the comics." Similar to what was depicted in Miller's Deadpool, as...

Is there any other character in the comic book movie world whose performer is as analyzed as The Joker? When it comes to the Clown Prince of Crime, it seems that people love to discuss how the actor playing him is tackling the role. Suicide Squad hasn't even come out yet, and I've already seen more articles than I can count about Jared Leto and what he's bringing to his portrayal of The Joker. I guess when you're joining elite company, with so many actors who have left an indelible mark on a character, people hunger for insights on how you'll do it justice.
Of all the actors who've taken a turn playing Batman's most famous rogue, none loom larger than Heath Ledger. His work in The Dark Knight was not only magnetic, complex, nuanced, and striking; It not only accomplished a rare feat by winning an Academy Award...

With yesterday's official reveal of Keiynan Lonsdale in his Kid Flash costume, it was to be expected that he was going to be seen filming sequences for The Flash TV series out in public soon- hence why they showed him in all his glory first. While that part was expected, what's rather unexpected is this mysterious figure seen walking alongside him in a new set photo.
This new photo from season 3 of The Flash shows Lonsdale in costume, walking alongside another fellow in a dark, far more sinister-looking speedster getup. Take a look:
While we have no official confirmation, the black-clad speedster does bare a resemblance to this guy:
With the black costume, fiery red accent lines, and demonic ears, the guy in the photo looks like he could be the CW's version of the Black Racer- as depicted in Jason Fabok's "Justice League: Darkseid War" books.
What do you think?...

It doesn't sound like Sigourney Weaver was a big fan of anything that came after Aliens, in terms of the Alien franchise. Just last week, we covered how she enthusiastically embraces the idea of Neill Blomkamp's proposed sequel, which would essentially create an alternate timeline and act as if the third and fourth Alien movies never happened.
In a chat with Entertainment Weekly, where the actress once again characterized Blomkamp's sequel as being on hold until Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant comes out, Weaver spoke about how the film will give Ripley's arch a fitting conclusion.
"It’s a great story and it’s satisfying to me to give this woman an ending," she told EW. Indeed, it sounds like whatever Blomkamp cooked up in his script for the film would ensure that this would be Weaver's last ride as Ripley.
And, as her referencing "a great story" implies,...

Rose Byrne is a comedy star on the rise, whether you (or she) realizes it or not.
With comedically supercharged co-stars like Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Dave Franco, Ike Barinholtz, Carla Gallo, and Lisa Kudrow, the actress is in hilarious company in "Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising," but let's not forget that Byrne herself has an enviable Hollywood comedy career, with huge hits like "Bridesmaids," "Neighbors," and "Spy" under her belt. And she's showing no signs of slowing down.
We recently sat down with Byrne to talk about why it made sense for her to do a sequel to 2014's comedy hit "Neighbors," why she and Seth make such a great team, how her pregnancy affected filming, and what oiling up a shirtless Zac Efron is really like (hint: it's not as sexy as it sounds).
Moviefone: At one point did you decide you'd be game for a follow-up -- immediately after the first one?...

Bosses at ABC have cancelled Hayden Panettiere's country music drama 'Nashville' hours after the actress announced she is seeking more help for postpartum depression.
The 26-year-old has been struggling with mental health issues since giving birth to her daughter Kaya in 2014, and she checked in to rehab in October after taking a leave of absence from her TV series.
On Thursday (May 12), Hayden revealed the initial treatment wasn't enough, and she took to Twitter to announce she is seeking further help.
"The postpartum depression I have been experiencing has impacted every aspect of my life," she wrote. "Rather than stay stuck due to unhealthy coping mechanisms I have chosen to take time to reflect holistically on my health and life. Wish me luck!"
And just hours after the tweet, executives at ABC shared an announcement of their own after deciding to axe Nashville after four seasons.

Hayden Panettiere has been very open about her battle with postpartum depression and knows there is no shame whatsoever in seeking help. The Nashville star, who welcomed daughter Kaya in December 2014, let fans know Thursday via Twitter that as a result of her postpartum depression experience, she would be taking some time to take care of herself. Humans are inherently lovers of story, and as such, we're inherently fans of conflict between characters. Just look at the movie/TV slate on the comic book front. In one year, we have Batman taking on Superman in Batman v Superman, Daredevil taking on the Punisher in season two of Daredevil, and Captain America taking on Iron Man in Marvel's latest, Captain America: Civil War.
Of course, the conflict means nothing to us as viewers unless there's a good reason for it, and the main reason why we're all so excited to see Iron Man take on Cap is because of the fact that they've consistently had an interesting difference in ideology. It's something that was bound to blow up sooner or later, and now we get to see it on the big screen.

There are four different stories and four different perspectives. It is set in Punjab and talks about the drug scenario. It is the first Hindi film to deal with the issue.”
He added, “Udta Punjab has a brilliant script. When we read it, we decided to produce the film at one go. All the four stars in the film are brilliant.”

Did you successfully prank anyone on April Fool's Day? Or rather, were you, perhaps, the prank-ee? Either way, we bet your day wasn't quite as epic as Rihanna's. The songstress, 27, was apparently in collusion with Kimmel's wife, who let Rihanna into their home - and into their bedroom - to wake Kimmel up with her new song… and some strobe lights. "Okay, I'm gonna go wake up Jimmy now. Wish me luck," Rihanna tells the camera. The timestamp on the video is around 1 a.m., or 11:30 a.m. Rihanna time. It's considerably more than fourfive seconds of fun. Watch the full clip below.

Jimmy Kimmel is used to late nights and little sleep, but he’s not used to one of the biggest names in pop disturbing his shut-eye. In honor of April Fools’ Day on Wednesday, Rihanna played a prank on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” host by creeping into his house at 1 a.m. and frightening the life out of him. Armed with a full camera crew and a naughty glint in her eye, wearing stage makeup and platform boots, the “Sos” singer told viewers: “I am going to wake up Jimmy now. Wish me luck,” as she walked stealthily into his bedroom.

Writing a weekly column can be a funny thing at times, especially when you wait until the last moment to do it. Not only does it irritate your editor but the blamed thing can morph from its original topic. Such as this week. I started with one topic and then found two others that I wanted to comment on as well. I think I’ve found a connection within all three; let’s see if I can make it without stretching too much. Wish me luck.
We’ll start with the death of Leonard Nimoy, a.k.a. the original Mr. Spock in Star Trek. He was 83 and died of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Spock was an iconic character not only on Trek or in science fiction but around the world. “Live long and prosper” was his signature phrase and his cool, logical, and scientific manner created an army of fans,...

Ed Sheeran did not impress The Stig as he crashed his car on the Top Gear race track.
The singer - who doesn't own a driving licence - skidded off the circuit at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey, while attempting to complete the 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' challenge.
Sheeran had earlier admitted on Twitter that it was the very first time he had got behind the wheel, saying: "I'm driving for the first time ever today, on a race track, on tv. Wish me luck."
His appearance will be shown on the BBC Two show's return on Sunday (January 25) at 8pm.
Will Smith and Kiefer Sutherland are also among the stars who will appear on Top Gear's 22nd series.
Ed Sheeran will be among the performers at this year's Grammy Awards, which will take place at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles on February 8.

Wow. After all that build up, including months of analysis, the Academy still managed to surprise us. I knew that we were going to get a shocker or two, but early this morning the Oscar nominations threw everyone, myself included, for a bit of a loop. I’m sure you all have seen the nominees by now, but what is there to take from all of this? I’ll be updating predictions tomorrow to reflect who’s in better or worse position for wins now, but today I’m going to just give some quick reactions and try to make sense of it all. Wish me luck… First of all, here’s who did the best. The nominations were led by Birdman and The Grand Budapest Hotel, which each received nine citations. Next in line with eight was The Imitation Game, while both American Sniper and Boyhood scored six each.

"This is one of those shows that the whole family sits down and watches. As far as I'm concerned, it's one of the best family shows on television. The show is really well put together to hold an audience's attention. They got something like 14 million viewers last year. It's incredible."
How are you feeling about your upcoming jungle adventure?
"I feel okay. I feel good. I'm feeling a lot of anticipation because I can't wait to get in there now.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. Better than he was before. Better… stronger… faster. – The Six Million Dollar Man
So – where were we?
I’d had a 7 mm. golden nugget lodged in my right kidney. That got removed but then I went into the hospital with sepsis and acute urinary infection. That led to the discovery that I’d had a heart attack, much to my amazement. I’d felt nothing; it was revealed in chemical markers. Further investigation showed that while the heart itself was okay, I needed a triple bypass.
Well, that was a stunner.
The procedure is called a coronary artery bypass graft, known as a Cabg, sometimes called a “cabbage.” Which is a little disconcerting. Working on my heart is a cabbage.
It’s a relatively recent procedure, starting up in the ‘60s. It’s not uncommon now and they’ve gotten pretty...

Erik Larsen has completed his Savage Dragon film script.
The Image Comics founder has announced that he is moving ahead with the adaptation of his long-running series.
"As of 2:06 this morning a Savage Dragon screenplay exists. Wish me luck!" Larsen wrote on Facebook. "And, yes, I wrote it."
Savage Dragon debuted in 1982, and became the star of an ongoing series following the launch of Image in the early '90s.
"As far as actors go, I'd rather get a guy with decent acting chops than try to find somebody built like Dragon," continued Larsen. "Savage Dragon Needs to be constructed. No human being has fists the size of loafs of bread.
"He can't just be a normal muscle man and normal muscle men don't have the comedic timing and acting chops needed to pull off the part.
"I would think Dragon could be mostly real - with CG arms and chest.

She’s young, thin and beautiful so it’s no wonder Kylie Jenner was all about indulging in a gourmet meal of comfort food at Lascalla Italian restaurant last night (August 5).
However, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” cutie and her gal pal apparently tried to get her sister Kim Kardashian to join in on the carbs despite her recent diet declaration.
Kim ended up posting a photo to her Instagram account during the course of the evening to blow the whistle on her peer pressuring sibling.

Like a lot (most? some?) of you, I’ve been at a loss since the third season of Game of Thrones ended. In my darkest moments, I’ve found myself wandering around muttering “Hodor” and craving pork sausage. However, I met with only limited success: for her part, Nibbles just chewed up the pieces of paper on which I had scrawled urgent missives to my roommate (“Remember to replace the roll of toilet paper if you use it up!!!” and “Did you eat my Chinese take out leftovers???”). On the plus side, my bathroom mirror has never looked better.

On Tuesday, Shia Labeouf gave up on his daily “I Am Not Famous Anymore” postings on Twitter and replaced it with an “#Iamsorry” tweet — accompanied by an art installation in Los Angeles.
The installation, also titled “#Iamsorry,” is running from Tuesday through Sunday, and, in true Shia fashion, seems pretty weird. It involves picking out an object that has to do with his previous work and then going into a room where Labeouf himself sits, silently, with a bag over his head. Can’t wait to read about this in future generations’ art history textbooks!
