Trivia

An episode about The Temptations was announced for March 1999 but was pulled before the airdate. It is believed that it was pulled either because of the popularity of NBC's The Temptations (1998) or because of the lawsuit filed against the film's producers by members of the group's family. Goofs

In the Megadeth episode, it is stated that Metaliica's Black Album and Megadeth's Countdown To Extinction were released at the same time. Countdown To Extinction wasn't released until nearly a year after the Black Album. See more »

Alternate Versions

Many of the older segments of the series have been revamped and are now airing as "remastered" versions. These new versions add in details that have happened to the bands since the original segments on the bands aired. One of the Best TV Shows Ever!!!
4 August 1999 | by IrisNo11See all my reviews

VH1 always has something interesting on tv, and this show is definitely no exception! VH1 Behind the Music gives some of the greatest information on some of the world's greatest music artists (i.e. John Denver, Madonna, Cher, Tony Orlando) and events (i.e. The Day the Music Died, The Music of 1968, Woodstock) and many more! A must watch for all music fans of different generations!
