Storyline

NYPD Detective Sara Pezzini's main goal in life was to bring down Tommy Gallo, the hitman who killed her father, her best friend, and eventually her partner. While chasing down one of Gallo's thugs, she acquires the Witchblade, an enchanted armored glove once used by Joan of Arc that deflects bullets, extends into bladed weapons, produces visions, and neatly compacts itself into a bracelet. She uses it to help her take down Gallo with the aid of businessman Kenneth Irons and his enigmatic and lethal compatriot Ian Nottingham. Written by Jeff Cross <blackjac_1998@yahoo.com>

Trivia

The film ends with a comic book-style image of Sara. This is actually a picture of the comic book version of Witchblade, modified to reflect the costume of the TV version (which is considerably more conservative than the skimpy comic version). See more »

wicked.

i've been a collector of the comic since day one. i'm not some kind of witchblade freak ... i just think the artwork and style of the series is incredible. when i heard that they were making a tv series, i was a little nervous to say the least ... they were going to take this totally awesome, badass comic and make it all cheesy!! i sucked up my fears, watched the first episode, and was pleasantly surprised. yancy butler is cool, and all the music throughout the show helped keep with the whole wicked atmosphere. and even though ian nottingham is totally different, i think eric still makes ian a totally captivating character.
