Storyline

Julius Morlang is a successful art photographer who has moved on after the tragic suicide of his first wife, Ellen. He has found a new muse and lover in Ann, a younger version of Ellen. With the expected success of his new exhibition a near certainty, life for Morlang seems almost perfect - for now. But the past still haunts him. The voice of his dead wife appears on his answering machine - someone sends him her funeral announcement. Paranoia grows, and he is not sure whom he can trust. What is real and is imagined - and can you trust the one you love? Written by Aubrey Wiseman <Aubreys@hotmail.com>

Should be good, but isn't
6 January 2004 | by bubsy-3See all my reviews

Morlang annoyed me. I really looked forward to watching it. Technically, it is excellent. Morlang is well acted and well directed and I wanted to watch the movie to its end. However, as I watched Morlang, I kept thinking, "This should be a really good movie, but it isn't". I'm still not sure why I didn't feel it was a good movie. Perhaps it is because I "read" Morlang correctly from the beginning so that the ending was no suprise at all? But whatever the reason, I felt that Morlang should have been an exceptional movie, but fell far short.
