Trivia

The character Keaton is probably based on a Japanese mythological creature named a Kitsune. In Japanese folklore Kitsune are very intelligent and magical creatures, with the appearance of a fox with as many as nine tails, but they are also shape-changers, able to assume human form. See more »

Alternate Versions

In this game's original Japanese version, there were three save files. However, the only time when players could save their games was when they played the Song of Time to warp back to the beginning of the three-day cycle. When the English version of Majora's Mask was being developed, Nintendo added an interrupt-save feature, which would not actually save the data permanently (as playing the Song of Time would), but instead kept the in-progress data in memory until the next time the file was opened. Due to space restrictions, however, this feature forced Nintendo to remove one of the save files for the English-language release, making it the first and perhaps last Zelda game to feature only two save files rather than the traditional three. unique story from the zelda series
1 June 2008 | by jjwileSee all my reviews

this game was a very unique story from the Zelda series. It has a more dark story... i mean this was one twisted game....but it satisfied me even though it was slacking on temples....but there many side quests. everything your could think of in game. even the name of the game is a pretty creative one...Majoras mask. the name itself sounds a little dark.. Definitely a recommendation for anyone who is a fan of the series and likes dark and twisted stories with some things that don't make any sense definitely a good recommendation... even though this game is like 8 years old now it is still worth the the age and still a good investment with a twisted story
