Alternate Versions

American version is edited for content. In the original Japanese version, the game is set in a limbo between the world of life and death - the American version edits this so it seems like it is simply a dream sequence. Likewise, two instances of implied nudity - a mermaid losing her seashell top, and a hippo girl serving as a nude model, are edited. See more »

User Reviews

wonderfully cute and intensely playable for days and days at a time
27 January 2007 | by cannaganjabisweedSee all my reviews

playing this game is like the equivalent of reading a very long and interesting novel. you can place your bookmark and come back to it any time you want (which will usually be a lot!). it really is just like going on one big long adventure. and again, just like a book, you quickly forget about everything after several months, once you have completed the game (which is actually quite hard). so you can come back and do it all again!

they got the difficulty just right. and you've got lots of items and weapons to collect and choose from. the graphics are really well rounded. in fact, i would say for a game boy the graphics are excellent. everything looks so cute. the musical score is amazing. the great tune, as you set off across the plains, is really stirring.

this is my favourite game ever. i really don't know what else to say, apart from you can get this game and a colour game boy for a couple of quid nowadays. so you really won't regret it
