‘The Suicide Squad’ HBO Max Spinoff Series ‘Peacemaker’ Adds Steve Agee
Exclusive: We can tell you first that Steve Agee, who stars in James Gunn’s upcoming The Suicide Squad movie, is making the jump to the pic’s HBO Max spinoff series Peacemaker starring John Cena.

I hear that Agee will reprise one of two of his Suicide Squad roles, that of John Economos. The character is a warden of Belle Reve Federal Penitentiary and an aide to Viola Davis’ government character Amanda Waller. Agee is a longtime thespian in Gunn’s canon, having starred in the filmmaker’s Super, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and his horror feature production Brightburn directed by David Yarovesky. Agee also is playing King Shark in Suicide Squad.

Gunn is writing the eight-episode Peacemaker series and directing a number of the episodes. More characters from Gunn’s Suicide Squad could make the jump to the series, which explores the origins of Cena’s Peacemaker character,

‘Bachelorette': Clare Crawley Sobs and Tayshia Adams Makes a Splashy Entrance in Promo for Next Week’s Bombshell Episode (Video)
ABC dropped a promo for next week’s episode of “The Bachelorette” Season 16 after Tuesday’s installment, promising “Bachelor” Nation will finally get answers about the rumored exit of Clare Crawley and entrance of Tayshia Adams, which would mark the first time in franchise history that a leading lady was replaced in the middle of a season.

In the clip, which you can view above, host Chris Harrison says to a crying Crawley, “The path we’re on right now, it doesn’t end well, for anybody.” She responds that she’s “waited so long for this” and he says, “Ok, you’ve just blown up ‘The Bachelorette.'” The video then cuts to the men freaking out about Clare is “gone” and they don’t know what’s going on and begin taking it out on each other.

“I’ll apologize if I wasted your time. I’ll apologize if I hurt you,

‘I Have to Pinch Myself’: Sarah Cooper’s Rapid Rise From Trump TikToker to Netflix Star

‘I Have to Pinch Myself’: Sarah Cooper’s Rapid Rise From Trump TikToker to Netflix Star
As a product designer at Google, Sarah Cooper was used to being pulled into business meetings because, she says, they “needed another woman” in the room. There, she saw male coworkers lavished with praise for contributions as inane as drawing a Venn diagram on a whiteboard. She started taking notes. After quitting Google in 2014 to focus full-time on comedy, Cooper poured the material she’d gathered into a couple of satirical self-help manuals that skewer the blind confidence of mediocre white men: 100 Tricks to Appear Smart in Meetings and How

So, the American Horror Story star decided to buy her an iPhone for Mother's Day. "I was, like, 'Now we can FaceTime and iMessage. And like, how sweet.' Borat Tries to Eradicate Coronavirus During Jimmy Kimmel Show
British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen was his usual outrageous self on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Monday in his avatar as Kazakh journalist Borat Sagdiyev as he does the final promotional rounds for “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.”

Cohen brought the house down as he entered, spraying the sets with liquid from a canister and announcing that Kazakh scientists had discovered that there is a virus, from Wuhan in Israel. While Kimmel doubted that the coronavirus originated in Israel, Cohen went around the set with a magnifying glass and a frying pan, trying to pound the virus to death.

Cohen then subjected Kimmel to a Kazakh plague questionnaire that began with, “In the last week, have you spent more than 15 minutes in the presence of any Jews?” Kimmel replied in the affirmative and said, “All of our writers and none of our camera guys are Jews.”

“As a member of Hollywood elite, have

Trump Is a Ruthless ‘America’s Got Talent’ Judge in Hilarious Jimmy Kimmel Bit (Video)

Trump Is a Ruthless ‘America’s Got Talent’ Judge in Hilarious Jimmy Kimmel Bit (Video)
Jimmy Kimmel’s video editing team earned their keep on last night’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” following President Trump’s town hall on NBC — all thanks to a poorly-photoshopped ad for a network competition show.

After the host took a moment to declare that “NBC sucks,” he ran a hilarious promo for a fake upcoming season of the network’s “America’s Got Talent” from an alternate universe in which Trump’s first post-Presidential plans were to head straight back to reality TV.

“It was a beautiful reunion,” Kimmel said of Thursday’s town hall, which reunited the president with the network behind his old reality show “The Apprentice.”

“Seeing him back on primetime was like taking a time machine back to 2004 when he was just a blowhard reality TV host and nothing more,” he added. “Not only did we get a trip back to the past — we also got a

Jimmy Kimmel Says “NBC Sucks” After Dueling Trump-Biden Town Halls
Jimmy Kimmel joined the chorus of Hollywood entertainers calling out NBC and its decision to air a “dueling” town hall for Trump directly against Joe Biden’s previously scheduled ABC event.

With many of his fellow hosts on break, including NBC’s Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers, the face of ABC late night took solo shots at the Peacock network during his opening monologue Thursday. On what should have been the night of the second 2020 presidential debate, Kimmel kicked off Jimmy Kimmel Live! by poking fun at NBC’s “sneaky move” before airing a mock America’s Got Talent clip featuring Trump as a judge....

Clare Crawley Denies Bailing Early on ‘The Bachelorette’ in Awkward Kimmel Interview (Video)
BacheloretteClare Crawley is denying the well-circulated rumor that she skipped out of production on the ABC dating series early after coupling up with contestant Dale Moss.

In a rather uncomfortable interview on Tuesday night’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” immediately following the show’s 16th season premiere, the host put Crawley in the hot seat and peppered her with the questions everyone has been asking about her long-awaited season.

“The rumor is that you hit it off with Dale so famously that you said, ‘That’s it. I’m not going through this charade. I’m not going through this whole process. I found the guy. That’s why I came. And adios, goodbye everybody, I’m leaving,'” Kimmel said. “True or false?”

Crawley, looking shocked to have been asked so bluntly, hesitated for a moment before saying, “Well, that’s what the rumor is. I can confirm that that is false.

SAG-AFTRA Battling Actors Equity Over Live Taping Jurisdiction

SAG-AFTRA Battling Actors Equity Over Live Taping Jurisdiction
Leaders of SAG-AFTRA are in a bitter jurisdictional battle with Actors Equity over which union should cover the taping of live events.

The dispute went public Wednesday, when SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris and National Executive Director David White delivered a message to members that they are willing to offer a waiver in order to create more work opportunities for Aea members — but that it must contain an acknowledgment of SAG-AFTRA’s jurisdiction

“That waiver contains a very clear statement of our jurisdiction,” Carteris and White said. “Regrettably, Aea has not agreed to the waiver.”

The message also raised the possibility that Actors Equity may be attempting to poach jurisdiction from SAG-AFTRA.

“Our discussions with Aea’s leadership about these waivers have surfaced very real concerns on the part of their leadership over the long-term viability of the live theater business model,” the duo said. “In these conversations, it has become clear that,

TV Ratings Report: neXt Disappoints, Swamp Thing Surprises

TV Ratings Report: neXt Disappoints, Swamp Thing Surprises
There were two premieres on the broadcast networks Tuesday night, and the results were middling.

neXt Season 1 Episode 1 started on Fox with 1.8 million viewers and a 0.3 rating among adults 18-49.

Among adults 18-34, the series had an alarming 0.1 rating.

The launch is not a good sign for the series.

It ranks last among Fox's fall crop, coming in below the premiere of Filthy Rich (3 million/0.5 rating) and L.A.'s Finest (3.1 million viewers/0.5 rating).

Cosmos on Fox also did 1.3 million viewers and a 0.3 rating.

Swamp Thing, which started its life on DC Universe last year, launched with 1.1 million viewers and a 0.2 rating.

For a TV show that is an acquisition, this is a great result, and the total viewer tally helps tie it with Supernatural as The CW's second most-watched series.

Not bad for a canceled show, right?

It will be interesting to see how the series performs for the rest of the season,
