Goofs

(at around 49 mins) When Castle first steals Saint's money, the millions of dollars are all in bundles of hundred dollar bills and are placed in a large cart. However, in the next scene when Castle dumps the money onto the streets from the high-rise window, all of the bundles are separated and the individual bills float down to the street. There is no way that Castle had time to unwrap all of the bills and then throw them out the window. See more »

Great for Fans & Newcomers Alike!!
26 September 2005 | by teoinySee all my reviews

I really enjoyed this movie.. As a big fan of the comics I was really worried that they would ruin it (Daredevil for example!).. But they didn't..

Thomas Jane is excellent as the vengeful, determined lead, & Travolta fulfills the role of the dangerous crime boss well.

The story will be familiar to all fans & it is faithfully followed. Hensleigh seems either to be a fan himself, or understands the need to please readers.

The callous violence, a huge part of the comics is lovingly 'executed'.. No heed was paid to satisfying censors, or to attempt to get a 'safe' rating. Criminals are 'Punished' with a dedication mirroring the themes of the hard-hitting comic..

No previous knowledge of the story is necessary as events begin where they should ... at the beginning.

All in all a great movie for both fans & newcomers.. Can't wait for the sequel ! !
