Excellent porno mystery from Red Ezra
2 February 2011 | by lor_See all my reviews

SWEETWATER is my favorite porn video from Red Ezra, an intriguing thriller which showcases his strengths. It's high praise (from me) that it almost resembles a real movie.

Chloe Jones, the tragically short-lived Texas Playboy/Penthouse favorite who briefly made XXX videos, is investigating a cold case of some ancient murders, after skeletal remains are unearthed out in the desert. Through a series of evocative flashbacks, mainly in black & white or other varying color stock, we see the gangland massacre dating back 70 years or so.

Balancing carefully a riveting storyline and very interesting sex scenes (featuring truly beautiful & arousing women including Jones, Olivia Del Rio, Sunrise Adams, Raylin and sapphic Felecia), Ezra concocts a package that hearkens back to those Good Old Days when pornmakers tried harder, cf., EXPOSE ME LOVELY or ERUPTION. Though shot on video and not fooling me on that count, it nonetheless suggests the look and texture at times of a true film noir.

It's worth hunting for a copy on DVD.
