Sex & Nudity

  • One mission in particular contains BDSM content, with the player being subject to masochism in order to obtain a necessary mission item. This occurs offscreen, but is heavily implied.
  • There are even bill boards containing nudity
  • In one cutscene, a man is seen masturbating in a studio. This is only comedic and no nudity is shown.
  • This game is far cleaner than GTA 5 when it comes to the crude humor, but it's still crude and inappropriate.
  • When the player visit the betting shop Inside Track to bet on horses, you will notice that almost all of the horses names are humorous and crude terms, referencing genitalia and sex.
  • Something that isn't included in the actual game but cannot go without mentioning is the hot coffee mod. Pretty much everyone has heard of this but long story short, a sex mini game was supposed to be in the game but they took it out, someone found it in the files and made a mod out of it which made the game rated Adults Only for a bit but it was changed back to M. This is a whole separate mod and isn't included in the game but is worth mentioning.
  • You can have sex with prostitutes and get private dances at strip club.
  • Moderate. With Hot Coffee Mod, would be Severe.
  • A few mild references to sex (e.g. sounds deemed to be 'sexual') can be seen/heard during some missions.
  • Many objects and places scattered throughout the map also refer to sex (E.g. A sex shop with 'toys', and, 'adult films'). The main character can't access these areas, but just see the outside of the store.

Violence & Gore

  • Players can choose to kill enemies and civilians in any number of ways, including knives, guns, baseball bats, grenades, and vehicular slaughter. Given the age of the game, this content is not depicted realistically and isn't very graphic. The game's graphics are outdated though, as it is not as violent as the latest entry by Rockstar Games, Red Dead Redemption 2 which has advanced game engines and extremely high-detailed graphics, which boosts its level of graphic violence.
  • A mission involves burying a construction worker alive in concrete.
  • The player can perform a stealth kill in which he can sneak up on somebody from behind and slit their throat with a knife killing them instantly.
  • Heads can be shot off.
  • There is a vehicle in the game where if you run some over they get shredded up into pieces and their now severed limbs will be ejected out the back
  • Very violent.
  • In the mission of reuniting the families, in the final scenes of this mission, a police officer on the hood of the sweet car is cut to pieces by the blades of the helicopter, and all the parts of his body are cut to pieces and a lot of blood is shed.
  • The player can kill just about anyone they feel like. Killing will result in spurts of blood, and, quite rarely, an exploding head. Gore is VERY rare. The player can also kill Police officers in the same ways, but doing so will cause their wanted rating to increase as a punishment.
  • Some cutscenes involve some form of violence, the levels of violence tend to vary.

Profanity

  • Fuck shit bitch cunt pussy ass and n***a are used almost all the time.
  • The game contains frequent use of strong language throughout, including uses of 'fuck,' 'shit' and 'motherfucker.' There is also a single use of the word 'cunt.' Given the setting, there is also a considerable amount of use of the term 'nigga,' which is generally used as a term of endearment among black characters.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • One mission requires the player to plant drugs in a car and then call the cops to get a man arrested.
  • There is a scene where Officer Tenpenny is smoking a bong. This scene lasts for a few minutes.
  • For the most part, drug use in this game is portrayed in a negative light. The main character, CJ and his brother stay off of drugs, and the characters that do drugs are portrayed as corrupt and evil. That said however, drug use is still extremely common throughout the game.
  • Characters will smoke various types of drugs using everything from homemade cigarettes to large bongs.
  • Characters are frequently seen drinking alcoholic beverages and smoking cigarettes, cigars and joints.
  • The character named Ryder is frequently seen smoking marijuana.
  • One mission in particular revolves around burning marijuana plants in a field.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • CJ's mother was killed in a drive-by shooting (not shown, only mentioned).
  • The content in this game is pretty tame compared to nowadays standards
  • There is so many disturbing side missions I don't even know I can even count I think some of the the side missions alone should be enough to give this a severe.
  • The ability to kill various citizens and police officers may disturb some people.
  • Some of the missions or confrontations between characters can be somewhat intense.
