Storyline

The legends tells the story of how the Toa came to be, chosen from the pool of Matoran youth in the great city of Metru Nui and, though physically transformed, hardly prepared for increased size and super heroic powers. Now in short order, the Toa--who babble and bicker like agitated adolescents--have to master their new gifts, impress their leader, and prepare to protect their home. Trivia

The general plot and setting of this movie had already been planned for years, as the head of the Bionicle story team, Bob Thompson was always interested in doing a prequel to the original Bionicle story-line. In 2003, Bionicle comic book author Greg Farshtey compiled a list of complaints from the Bionicle fans on the BZPower.com forums, who were bored of the story's repetitiveness. Hence, it was decided that the prequel story would be told in 2004 to shake things up. Ironically, many fans who had liked the previous story-lines and setting found this shift too jarring, and abandoned the franchise, not knowing that it had been planned anyway. See more »

Great Bionicle Movie
19 August 2006 | by jeffreyfreezeSee all my reviews

It is a great Bionicle movie. With the advanced graphic and strong storyline, this movie give the message of responsibility, friendship , love and hope.

For example, the relationship between Vakama and Lhikan, the leadership and courage of Lhikan attracts me a lot.

But the battle of Makuta and Vakama and the training of using mask power are boring and weak, this is what I was disappointed.

And it should add some battle in the city, like Ko-metru and Ga-metru. You know, Metru Nui is a great city, but the battle always happened at subrub...
