Pigeon's Cafe (a restaurant in town of Rouleau, Saskatchewan where the series is filmed) is shown in the background of several episodes as being near the police station. Yet no one in the series mentions it, despite the town being exceptionally small.
There aren't enough people working there to run Corner Gas and The Ruby Cafe.

Lacey is supposed to be the owner and primary food server in a restaurant and be very experienced at her job.
However she wears open-toed, shoes, flip flops, sandals and even high heels on occasion while she is working. The first three would violate food safety laws, as well as risk injury to her feet from dropped dishes and spilled beverages. The fourth would become painful after an hour or so of standing on her feet.
