When Colin Mochrie enters the church in Mercy and says that he just closed down a church in Dog River which is the fictional town on "Corner Gas". (Colin Mochrie had also made a cameo appearance on "Corner Gas"). The reason he gives for closing the church is that "there was nothing going on" which is a reference to the Corner Gas theme song.
