Storyline

Teenager, Anna Blake is tempted out of her sheltered life by the desire to understand more about her father, who lives with his new partner in Hampstead, London after abandoning the family when Anna was a young girl. She finds the courage to visit him and is seduced by the sophistication of his lifestyle with a woman more glamorous than her mother. With new-found confidence she visits Maurice, her older brother, at his university digs in the city of Bath's Royal Crescent. Here she meets and falls in love with Jake Staveley, her brother's promiscuous flat mate. Written by Andrea Regan

Wonderful TV Drama from 1981! Where's the DVD??
13 October 2018 | by Plenty_of_DramasSee all my reviews

This enchanting and often beautiful Granada TV Drama from '81 is one of the best and moving British drama TV series of all time. Possibly Terence Hardiman at his best too. Very well made with the old period setting telling the journey of a young girl reacquainted with her estranged Father and the whole new life that opens up. This really needs to be and must be released on DVD! Beautiful music score too. Surely ITV DVD can release it?
