She finds the courage to visit him and is seduced by the sophistication of his lifestyle with a woman more glamorous than her mother. This enchanting and often beautiful Granada TV Drama from '81 is one of the best and moving British drama TV series of all time. Possibly Terence Hardiman at his best too. Very well made with the old period setting telling the journey of a young girl reacquainted with her estranged Father and the whole new life that opens up. This really needs to be and must be released on DVD! Beautiful music score too. Surely ITV DVD can release it?
