Sex & Nudity

  • A woman wears plastic cups that look like breasts over her shirt, briefly visible twice. The camera does not focus on them.
  • A female character makes a couple of sexual jokes.
  • Some infrequent double-entendres and mild crude joking, but few overtly explicit.
  • A man has a relationship with a much younger woman. It is said woman had another relationship with another older man.
  • Nick Frost's character mentions twice that a woman was fingered.

Violence & Gore

  • A woman is shot in the shoulder. Blood sprays as she slowly falls to the ground.
  • The main character fights the same man. Mild and comedic but lengthy.
  • Someone stabs a fork in their eye. You cannot see the eyeball, but lots of "blood" sprays everywhere. It is the revealed that the fork was stabbed into a packet of ketchup.
  • During a shootout scene, criminals are shot, impaled, and crushed. One character has their neck caught in a bear trap. Everyone survives.
  • The most graphic scenes in the movie are played for laughs, like a character is impaled by a model church spire, with some blood spurting out, but he can actually speak afterwards for a bit.
  • A very gory scene where a man's head is crushed, with the victim focused on for an extended period.
  • A man uses a hand drawn flipbook that shows a cop shooting a criminal. These are cartoon characters and it is not graphic at all.
  • Two decapitated heads are shown briefly.
  • An extended shootout between a police officer against many attackers. Most of the attackers are stopped with mild injuries other than being shot.
  • A man is hit in the head with a hard object. He is then seen unconscious with a bloodied head.
  • A police officer is seen breaking into a crime den and shooting criminals. No blood is shown.
  • A policeman threatens to decapitate someone.
  • A man is shot with an old musket. A bit bloody, but he survives.

Profanity

  • 17 uses of 'F*ck' is said 17 times.
  • 'Sh*t' is said nine times.
  • 'D*mn' is said once.
  • 'B*stard' is said once.
  • 'C*ck' is said once.
  • 'Pr*ck' is said once as an insult.
  • 'W*nker' is said once.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • In one scene, almost all of the drinkers at the pub are underage; however, a police officer throws them out.
  • Several instances of people being very drunk, acting inappropriately or requiring assistance.
  • Several scenes in a pub with many people social drinking.
  • An man tries to drive his car while drunk after being told specifically not to by a police officer, and nearly crashes into him.
  • It is mentioned that a character's relative was a drug dealer.
  • After going to the pub, a man persuades a police officer to come back to his house for a few more drinks.
  • Several characters smoke cigarettes.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The violence in this movie is portrayed facetiously, significantly reducing the intensity.
  • Many jokes about murder throughout the movie.
  • Much of the violence may be intense or frightening for some viewers.

Violence & Gore

  • A killer decapitates a man and woman with an axe. There is blood spraying around but the killing is not seen explicitly, however we later see their decapitated heads on a road covered in blood, and their headless bodies with neck bone sticking out the top.
  • The murderer blows blows up a house, and a charred corpse is shown after.
  • A killer pushes a concrete spire from a church roof onto a man standing below. The structure lands on the man, spiked side down, destroying his head and inserting onto his neck, as blood and gore spray around. He stands for a bit, then falls over. His mutilated corpse is shown. This scene is extremely graphic!
  • A mysterious hooded figure kills a woman by shoving hedge shears into her throat. Blood squirts onto a window and we see the woman screaming in pain.
  • A tomb full of rotting corpses (including the corpses of children) is found.
  • There is a large shootout during the third act of the film. Many people are shot but none of them fatally (shot in the arm, foot, or hand). Little blood. During this shootout, a man has a large bear trap fall on his head and a woman hits her head on the hood of a car (brief blood splatter in both these scenes).
  • A police officer kicks an old lady in the face, causing the lady's head to have a bloody impact with a car bonnet and also trips up an elder gentleman.
  • A man trips on a bomb, causing an entire building to explode.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A character falls into a trap and finds many dead bodies, he is then chased by several hooded figures in a cult.
  • Hooded figures which look like the Grim Reaper kill a lot of people throughout the movie.
  • Many residents of a countryside village are murderers in a cult with an unsettling agenda.
