Everybody makes mistakes, even NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The Green Bay Packers star, who split from girlfriend Olivia Munn in the spring, opened up to People about his sustained success, overcoming regrets — and the importance of mentorship and friendship in his sport.
“As much as it feels like you don’t need any help, we all need help,” Rodgers, 33, told People Tuesday evening at the Gatorade Player of the Year awards, one day before he competes against fellow nominees in the best NFL player category at the Espy Awards. “I needed help back then, and I needed to probably listen better as a younger player.

New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony ran a "town hall" meeting on Monday before continuing his pre-Olympics tour with the Team USA men's basketball team. Around 200 people - including athletes, community leaders, police and students - gathered at a south Los Angeles youth center for a social discussion on topics including gun violence and youth perception of police officers. "There were some very, very powerful messages that were being talked about. Not just amongst us as athletes, but among the youth. The youth really spoke out today about how they feel about their community, how they feel about police officers,...

Carmelo Anthony wants more than Olympic gold as he heads into the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro - he wants a better nation. The New York Knicks forward is calling for his fellow athletes to speak out about injustice in the wake of several police-involved shootings that have gripped the nation. "It's unfortunate, it's sad," Anthony, 32, said on Monday, Espn reports. "You can't really put into words what's going on throughout the whole country, throughout the whole world. For us as a country, we have to stand united. We have to come together." Anthony's comments come after the fatal...

The cameras didn't catch it all at the 2016 Espy Awards. While we chuckled along with host John Cena during his kid-friendly press conference, felt empowered by journalist Craig Sager's tearful acceptance of the Jimmy V Award or were downright emotional as Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James called for an end to the racial violence and injustice plaguing many Americans, there were some moments we simply could not see from our couches on Wednesday night. Fortunately, we're taking you behind the scenes with an insider guide to all the candid bits that just didn't make it to air, including Usher's missed chance with a dance cam and...

Ok, John Cena. We see you. Some may have been thrown off-guard with the network's choice to have the wrestler host tonight's Espy Awards (something even Cena pokes fun of during the show), but the E! star came out swingin' with some great one-liners and memorable zingers. The best was when Cena couldn't help but laugh at his own jokes. And believe us when we say, nobody was safe from being called out tonight. Following a somber and powerful speech by NBA's Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James on the recent tragedies and injustice involving law enforcement and people of color, Cena took the stage to kick off the show with an impressive monologue. We stand before you as fathers, sons, husbands, brothers, uncles, and in my case, as an African-American man and the nephew of a police officer, who is one of the hundreds of thousands of great officers serving this country." Espn’s Espy Awards have become surprisingly fertile ground for comedy over the past few years. Remember when Jt smelled David Beckham’s foot in 2008? Or when Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly teamed up to give their hysterical list of demands for hosting? (“I want Harry Caray riding Mike Ditka at my kid’s birthday party.”)
But this clip of Dinner for Schmucks costars Steve Carell and Paul Rudd spoofing Lebron James’ The Decision last night might just be my favorite Espy clip of all time. Check it out here:
What do you think, PopWatchers? Funniest Espy moment ever?...

Always up for a fun-filled night, Ashley Greene attended the annual Espy Awards in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday night (July 14).
The Alice Cullen actress looked super hot in a fire engine red dress while gladly posing for pictures and chatting with press before heading inside the Nokia Theatre.
The awards show, which was hosted by Mike Myers, honored superstar athletes and reflected back on the most memorable moments from the past year.
Some of this year’s nominees included LeBron James for Best Athlete, Jimmie Johnson for Best Driver and soccer stud, Landon Donovan, for Best Moment and the Performance Under Pressure Award.

As host of the 'Espy Awards' (Wed., 9Pm Et on Espn), Seth Meyers had a lot of material to work with, gleaning jokes both from the sports world and the athletes' private lives.
"This is where sports and entertainment come together," said Meyers. "It's like a Kardashian sister's bedroom." The camera cut to Reggie Bush, Kim Kardashian's on-again, off-again boyfriend, who smiled sheepishly.
Meyers called LeBron James' TV special announcing his move to the Miami Heat "a super boring hour of television" -- pretty brave considering Espn televised said hour.
He commended James on the deal, but turned even that into a (Tiger Woods) joke you'll find in the clip.
Also on the video: footage from all the Best Play and Best Team nominees, and speeches from the respective awards' surprising winners.

The 2009 Espy awards saw celebrity sports stars strut their fashion style on a "green" red carpet in an attempt to offer a carbon neutral event.
Espn used solar and wind power to generate energy for the press tent, while sports and entertainment celebrities took to a red carpet made from post-consumer recycled fibers to music playing from a DJ booth powered by portable solar panels.
Australian golf superstar Anna Rawson was spotted wearing a stunning dress from the Donna Karen Collection to the event. Former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice was also seen wearing a beautiful red dress from the Dk Collection.
Samuel L. Jackson hosted the event to commemorate the best moments of the year in sports. Other attendees included Tiger Woods, Michael Phelps, Dana Torres, Demi Moore, Kobe Bryant and Rob Lowe.

Justin Timberlake isn’t a stranger to the basketball court. Remember the days when he would do charity basketball games alongside Britney Spears?
Justin, who has spent many an evening at a Lakers game, has been tapped to narrate the NBA Entertainment doc “Dream Season: 23 & 24,” presented by Nike and highlighting Kobe Bryant’s and LeBron James’ pursuit of this year’s championship, and intensifying the hoops debate of “Who’s better?” according to the press release.
Timberlake, who is referred to as the “King of Pop” in the release (if they say so — we’re not sure how Michael Jackson feels about that), will narrate the doc about the “Kings of the Court.”
In the past, Denzel Washington, Forest Whitaker, Terrence Howard, Djimon Hounsou and Chris Rock have narrated basketball specials. Justin’s special airs tomorrow night at 7 p.m.
