Sex & Nudity

  • Several scenes in the movie containing topless women.
  • There are two scenes of sex in the movie. The first one involves a man and a woman he just met having sex quite suddenly, the woman is seen thrusting on top of the man, breasts are clearly seen for a couple of seconds.
  • After sex a couple is talking and as this occurs a nude woman's bare butt is seen in closeup for several seconds.
  • There is a scene where a mutilated dead woman is seen and her breast and pubic hair are shown.
  • In one scene a male undresses in front of another. He removes his underwear and there is brief full frontal male nudity.

Violence & Gore

  • A man is poked through the chest with hooks (we see the hooks going deep into his chest), the hooks are attached to ropes and he is pulled off the floor (we see the hooks pulling at the skin); we see the man later with very bloody, torn flesh on his chest and he is unconscious on the floor.
  • A man is informed that a woman - with whom he is involved - went to a village to have an abortion where she was murdered. In the next scene, we see her naked and bloody dismembered body on a morgue table, her limbs placed incorrectly around her torso.
  • Men in a truck shoot guns at a car killing all the men inside (we see bloody bodies and bullet riddled car).
  • A man is shot in the head, he falls to the floor and blood pools under him.
  • A nearly unconscious man is dragged by soldiers, he is thrown to the floor; we see that he is badly bruised and bloodied from the beating.
  • Men are kicked and beaten and threatened by men with guns.
  • A man euthanises an injured cow, shooting it twice in the head. We see the bullet holes and blood pooling around the dead animal's head.
  • We see archive-style photos of many dead bodies as well as footage of guns firing, implying the systematic execution of people. We briefly see blood spray.

Profanity

  • 14 uses of "fuck"

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A man smokes and drinks alcohol and people drink alcohol at dinner.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Throughout the film, Idi Amin becomes increasingly insane, ruthless and unpredictable, and this is all portrayed in graphic detail to reveal how brutal he was in real life. This is all very tense and can be chilling for some viewers.
  • The entire film is incredibly intense and can be extremely uncomfortable to watch.
  • The two scenes of torture and mutilation are very disturbing. The film is based on the life of the notoriously brutal Ugandan dictator Idi Amin, and considering the ruthlessness of his regime, the film holds no punches when it comes to depicting these scenes of violence.
