The Battle of Marston Moor was one of the bloodiest battles of the British Civil War. The Heart of King Charles' army was hacked to bits and the hundreds of dead were shovelled into mass graves on the battlefield. Many visitors to the location have reported encounters with 17th Century soldiers.
