  • Throughout the film, there is a strong sense of sadistic threat as David (Leigh Whannell) is forced to play a sick game of torture where he must extract the key from his friend while he is still alive and unlock a device attached to his head ready to split his jaw open. This is a very intense scene as David is shown what could happen to him in a grainy looking video to terrorise him.
