Diana Winthrop and her mother arrive in Paris. When Mrs. Winthrop starts to fee ill, Diana calls for a doctor. Things become more worrisome when she returns to the hotel, and the desk clerk doesn't recall her, and her signature's disappeared from the register, and her mother's disappeared.
